PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT AND THE FUTURE OF THE SILENT FACE AU

Hi everyone, Sal here.

Recently, a series of events unfolded on AO3 that i was made aware of. Certain volunteers and the benefactor company, OTW, have acted against other volunteers in a manner i cannot condone and over topics that should have a unanimous agreement behind them.

Due to this complication of the AO3 Administration and general distaste that's been left in my mouth - i have made the exectuive decision to move the "Silence at Nockfell High" story onto this Tumblr for the forseeable future.

Until AO3 cleans up their administration and ceases to act on political biases, i will remain on here and will finish the story on Tumblr.

I will begin posting all of the pre-existing chapters rapid fire, one after another within the following 2 weeks on here as i have multiple backup files of the fic saved. After everything has successfuly moved to here - all activity on AO3 will cease for the forseeable future and the fic will continue with the "Nockfell Mall" Arc as the next story sequence.

I apologize if this is an inconvenience or that it seems sudden due to my radio silence - it is midterms season and this AO3 fuckup is fresh so i had to take emergency action.

Emergency Update

Hello everyone. First off the bat — I’d like to give you guys a proper update on everything that’s going on here.. I’m sorry I couldn’t explain it all before in my last post, but the internet was extremely unstable (It honestly still is… but it’s better than nothing I suppose), tho that is just the tip of the iceberg. All power and water lines have been down since Typhoon Odette hit. It’s very difficult to find a charging port around my area and the pictures above are just a few of the wreckage around my neighborhood. Government officials are doing their best to get the major cities, at least, up and running before Christmas — and I’m just hoping they pull through. At the moment I’m only able to work as far as my neighborhoods generator can handle, so unfortunately, updates will be late.. in the mean time I’ll work off digital and plan out future chapters (starlight) and content. That’s all from me for now. I’ll do my best to keep you guys updated.

Idk if y'all are from my neck of the woods but we had a pretty big winter storm sweep through last night (2nd biggest in the last 25 years). I blew my tire while I was on my way to get my bf. I'm safe and made it home, but the car's gonna get towed and it's supposed to be my day off unless someone calls off. I hope they don't call off tbh, but we'll figure it out when it happens.

The requests are now closed and if you send any in after I close 'em, they'll be deleted.

Urgent Update:

Not art related, not me-related but this does concern U.S. citizens' safety; especially in the D.C. and Northern Virginia area:

Late last night (around 3 or 4 am), I received word from trusted sources and friends that ISIS activity has been detected in said region. They are threatening to make a move sometime within the coming week or days.

The US Military has been deployed to the suspected areas to ensure nothing bad happens this Halloween. However, I want everyone to know that if you're in the area and notice anything suspicious or terrorist related, aside from our non-emergency hotline you can also contact the Israeli Embassy/Consulates ANYWHERE in the United States to tip them of the activity. (My Israeli husband shared the same contact info on his platforms, and he too is greatly concerned.)

Please, be professional and keep calm when contacting them (via phone or email). Describe thoroughly what you witnessed or are aware of and what is happening due to the government's negligence. This is very serious guys, it's not a freaking joke.

Again, this is for those who are in the D.C. and Norther Virginian area.

Please, be safe out there guys. Keep your eyes and ears sharp. Look out for each other.
