personal/phobia/anxiety disorder
one of the things that really sucks about anxiety disorder is that not only do you have added anxiety from the disorder itself but there's even MORE anxiety because you're also constantly worrying about the anxiety.
just now (like 40 minutes ago) I had a panic attack and threw up. In the middle of a grocery store.
Now, I am SEVERELY emetephobic (fear of vomiting). and that doesn't just mean "i don't like vomiting" which is the way a lot of people seem to throw around the word "phobia" these days. I mean, for about two years I carried around a plastic bag with me everywhere incase I vomited. I didn't attend school for a week if even one person had the stomach flu. I didn't eat because I was so terrified that somethign I ate might make me sick to my stomach and I literally lost about 15 lbs because of this phobia at it's worst.
My anxiety and my phobia are a bit more manageable now then they were before when I couldn't leave the house. I still have it pretty bad and I relapse every once in a while.
But today I threw up in a grocery store and not only am I concerned about the anxiety itself from that but now I have to worry about is my phobia going to come back even worse now, am I going to relapse, are things going to start triggering me really badly?
What sucks about anxiety is that having a panic attack at a grocery store is bad enough but now I also have to worry about am I going to have anxiety every time I go to a grocery store now? Will I be able to eat? Am I going to be able to leave my house?
