haha...well, I technically just spoiled a big one about Abbi in the last post...so, we’ll go...Emily.

Emily finds out of Josh’s feelings for because he left like a dozen voicemails on her phone the night that he went to that bachelor party.  Emily’s phone was dead and she forgot to charge it, so she filled in for Donna the next day since it was a Saturday and Donna had things she needed to do.  Emily went home, charged her phone, only to find that all the messages from Josh were him declaring his feelings for her and that he thought she was pretty, funny, smart...and that he always liked her.  Definitely complicated things for a time because Josh didn’t remember doing it.

Josh and Emly ended up attending the Inaugural Ball together (pre-series)  After C.J. had announced to the press that Emily would be attending with a date, Emily broke up with her on-again, off-again boyfriend at the time. (his name is David)  In my story’s timeline, that’s around the time Josh & Mandy broke up.  CJ, not wanting Emily to look alone with not any time for her to find a date, basically forces Emily & Josh to attend together.   Josh actually keeps a photo that was snapped of them that night.

Chapter 1

It was a cute introduction starting with Josh.

Josh telling himself he wasn’t supposed to fall for her.

The Josh and Emily intro was so awkwardly cute. Give me more! 

Emily helping him with the crossword. *heart eyes*

Barlet calling out Josh and Emily spilling the water and making a scene. LOLz

Emily fits perfectly into the campaign event in canon. She makes it better. She gives Josh more to do there.

When they each find out who the other is. Super cute.

Josh was very in character reading her book.

Damn good start to this story.

I have read more of this story and it is turning up to be my fave West Wing fic.
