The middle of the night and they are sleeping.  Josh wakes up and he wakes Emily.  

Josh: We need to buy a house.

Emily: (half asleep, looks at the alarm clock) Now?  It’s the middle of the night.

Josh.  There’s no time like the present.  This apartment won’t hold two babies. (He gets up and goes to find the newspaper listings.  A few minutes pass and Emily tries to go back to sleep) Em, you coming?

Hahahaha. Well, its a bit more like Josh and Emily have their own celebration about winning the election...😉 Altough she kinda freaks out a bit when she finds out. Not only is she the first female vice president, but also the first VP to give birth while in office. Haha. She hopes there isn't an emergency where the 25th is invoked while she is giving birth. Haha.

But today I come to you as the Democratic candidate for vice president.  My running mate, Sam Seaborn, and I are asking you vote.  There are many out there who have been disenfranchised by the process or think their vote doesn’t matter, but it does.  Most of you have suffered at the hands of the current administration for the last four years.  We want to change that, but we can’t do anything if you don’t get out there and vote.

So, vote!

The first Josh & Emily scene I wrote - not sure if it will be canon or not, but it’s where I started:

“Fine.  Fine.  I’ll go, but answer me this, Josh.  Have you or have you not ever thought about it?  If you haven’t, say so.  I will walk away right now and never bring this up again.  But if you have…”  Emily’s voice hitched at the last phrase.  She couldn’t bring herself to continue.  Instead, her eyes were focused on him.

“And if I have?” he said taking a step forward, looking down at her.

“Then–then, I think you need to take me on a proper date.”

“That’s going to be a problem.”  

Emily closed her eyes and her cheeks flushed in embarrassment.  She turned to go.

“Hey, hey, hey.  Look at me.” Josh’s hand went to Emily’s cheek, turning his face toward his.  “You didn’t let me finish.  It’s going to be a problem because I’m not going to just want to go on one date with you.  I’m gonna want a thousand.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah.”
