I personally recommend the dub if you watched the 2001 version dubbed, bc most of the old vas have returned and it’s a really nice nostalgia trip! <3

Aw, thank you! Actually, it’s some sort of inner hip situation that is painful to run on and then making every single muscle in my legs tighten up to compensate. Last week my calves tightened and then cramped because they were taking up so much of the work. So no running until it feels all the way better but I am pool running my little heart out. I just need it to get better in the next week so I can actually run a full marathon!

Was this written by someone who hasn't changed their name? Your "citizenship document" is your social security card, not your birth certificate. That's what you change when you take your husband's name...

That’s true. But some states issue ID based on your name on your birth certificate AND your Social Security card, and if there is any error of transcription/inconsistency among any of your documents or you don’t have copies of all of them won’t grant you one, despite the fact that there’s a great deal more evidence for the prevalence of bureaucratic screwups than voter fraud. This is a problem that disproportionately affects the elderly and the poor, since the legal hoops they’re required to jump through are confusing and can take hours to resolve that have to be taken off work and frequently require documents that are expensive to procure if you are on a fixed income.

Basically, when you end up kicking hundreds of thousands of voters off the rolls, for a problem that has happened maybe a thousand times in the last 20 years, it raises serious questions about the utility or fairness of such a program. If criminals are innocent until proven guilty, why aren’t voters?

How are you feeling?

Better but not 100%. The good news is, my foot doesn’t hurt everytime I take a a step! Bad news, it still hurts after quite a few steps (walking around a field of sunflowers yesterday probably didn’t help).

I’ve done a couple of days of pool running and did an 18 mile bike ride yesterday. it’s not the same but I’m hoping it works as a fitness stop-gap.

So I’m taking off two more days until my doctor’s appointment on Wednesday. And then I expect a foot-healing MIRACLE.

do you ever come off a bad run and just go "well, it's 503 days in a row, so at least tomorrow won't be 1 again?" I feel like that would keep me going. Bad ass.

I don’t usually have that come to mind. When I have a bad run it’s usually enough to tell myself “Well, they’re not ALL bad” because obviously if they were I’d be a fool to continue doing it :)

On the whole, I’d have to think that I have more good runs than bad runs - probably a LOT - and it seems like it doesn’t take much for me to decide that a run was good.

For example, I had a bit of a headache this morning (from a bit too much imbibing the night before) so I was kind of dreading getting out in the heat and humidity today. But then I stumbled across this cool little riverfront park and then all the sudden it was a good run :)

@emilydoesscience: Not a bad suggestion... @ariavie: The time right around or after lunch on a weekend is typically emptier at my gym. I haven't gone on a weekend morning in a while just because that's when a lot of other people go, too. Also, I'm not a fan of lane sharing, either! Mostly because I'm pretty slow in the pool and I don't want to feel like I'm holding anyone up.

If you went to undergrad, they have a copy of your immunizations, call them up and get it forwarded. The military may have one too but would take longer. The school may have someone in your college, not *your* advisor, but someone who may be able to help you figure out what you need to do to get what you need. maybe in the bursar's office for money or in the dean's office for coursework.And just think of the $12 as less than what youd pay more for a full course ;) GL!

I am still undergrad! I’m too dumb to do anything higher than bachelors. I figured out how to do the math placement for college algebra and had to guess on all the questions. 

I don’t know what’s going on. Nothing is making sense.
