Budapest nyüzsgő szívében, a Blaha Lujza tér egyik fővárosi védelem alatt álló épületében található a nemrég elkészült EMKE Corner iroda, ah
Az ember azt hinné, hogy ez a ház a Rákóczi út - Nagykörút kereszteződésében valami védett dolog, hisz itt lakott valamikor Blaha Lujza, akiről a teret elnevezték. Hát tévedsz. Jól kibelezték az egészet, hogy irodaház lehessen belőle. EMKE Corner. (EMKE: Erdélyi Magyar Közművelődési Egyesület, egykor övék volt a földszinti kávéház, innen ragadt rá az egész térre is az elnevezés, tehát "az emkénél" azt jelentette, hogy "a Blahán".)
Ez a hangulatos, csábító irodai tér KERÜLT KIALAKÍTÁSRA.

Celebrating LGBT Milwaukee and and archival research with the Encyclopedia of Milwaukee Project!
Recently, we paired with the Encyclopedia of Milwaukee (EMKE) Project to promote their entry on the history of queer culture and politics our fair city. The article, “LGBT Milwaukee” is written by Dr. Cheryl Kader, retired Senior Lecturer, Women and Gender Studies, LGBT Studies at UWM, and it debuts today, October 13th! We worked with Dr. Kader’s manuscript to select documents from our collections to build an exhibit that celebrates the article’s launch. Read the full article here
The Encyclopedia of Milwaukee project aims to provide comprehensive coverage of the history of the Milwaukee area, including Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington, and Waukesha counties. Two new dragons, Emke and Brik. They were impulse buys, but turned out to look/work better than I thought they would. Emke is sharp and pointy, Brik is soft and gentle.
