i think, it's criminally overlooked how tragic their story is. and I'm tired of Daniel begin the bad guy in most fanfics.

(no, I'm not excusing his actions but always interpreting him as a bad guy in fanfiction is so sad to me. everyone can do whatever they want ofc, it's just my personal feelings and opinions.)

My friends and I were talking about how Ben (the actor that played Daniel) joked about how heavy Audrey (the actress for Emma) was and they had to use a harness to help keep her suspended when he was holding her with one arm during the acting for the rooftop scene in the first chapter. It led to me drawing this.

Daniel And Emma Headcanons

Emma's parents busied themselves with their work and hardly had time to raise their daughter, so they bought an android to watch after her.

Daniel didn't really like Mr or Mrs Phillips, but he loved Emma. He felt that such a wonderful little girl should be given all the love in the world.

They were hardly ever apart.

Daniel introduced her to the original animated disney movies, as kids in her generation were only exposed to cgi, and she loved them.

She would have Daniel sit down with her and draw. He didnt really color often, but when he did, Emma would hang the art in her room or keep it in a folder because that's what Daniel did for her.

One time while they were at the store, Emma spotted some onesies and absolutely had to have them. So, when they got home, Emma and Daniel built a pillow fort in their new pajamas

Daniel's was a crocodile and Emma's was a bear.

Daniel would try to make foods fun for Emma. Cutting sausages into tiny octopi and putting them on top of seashell mac n cheese, putting smiley faces on burgers, etc.

Emma named every single one of the fish in the fish tank and Daniel made sure to memorize each one as to not upset her should he get it wrong.

Their favorite place to spend time at is the park.

In spring, they would spend hours looking at the flowers and butterflies.

Once, a butterfly landed on Emma's hand and she almost cried because she was so happy.

They hold hands so Emma doesn't lose Daniel in crowds.

Of course they swing their hands. It'd be illegal not to.

They both picked flowers to put behind their ears and in each others hair.

At some point Emma got stung by a bee and started bawling her eyes out. Daniel was scared that it hurt her badly, but it turned out that she was cradling the dead bee in her hand and was in mourning.

On nights when her parents were out, Emma would have Daniel bust out the karaoke machine and they would sing Disney songs and eat junk food.

Daniel has most definitely allowed Emma to put make up on him

And the entire time he was very encouraging.

"Ooo that's a pretty color, I like that."

"Does it go well with my eyes?"

"Pink's a good choice."

After Emma got ready for bed, Daniel would lay down with her and she snuggled up with him for story time.

He did a bunch of silly voices and made faces while reading to her.

It's absolutely necessary to tuck her in and give her a forehead kiss goodnight.

And ofc he never forgot to turn on her night light.

Every night, Emma would always tell Daniel she loved him

Yes he said it back.
