Ten Interesting Facts (some of these are really just personal stories instead of facts, but here you go)

I have hitchhiker's thumbs (double-jointed).

I’m a quarter Persian slash related to the old Shah of Iran.

My first concert was a Pearl Jam concert when I was in 5th grade. My uncle was helping with recording so we got to go backstage and we saw some famous people, none of whom I really remember. I was too young to appreciate it at the time.

I broke my nose in 8th grade during a soccer game (went in for a header, so did another girl bada bing, bada boom my face collided with her head) and I never got it fixed.

However, the scar between my eyebrows at the top of my nose is actually from tripping up brick steps when I was 3 years old.

Spring break junior year of high school I went to the Florida Keys with my best friend. We went scuba diving and the names of our instructors were Schwenke (pronounced like swanky but with a schwah) and Ladarius. These are some of my favorite names. Also, Schwenke said I was a natural at scuba diving, so I really want to actually get certified (if I ever have the time).

My first kiss happened when I was 17. I was in Amsterdam for a People to People European tour. It was with a boy named Ryan. Before he kissed me he commented on the aforementioned scar between my eyebrows and said it was really cute. For some reason I thought this was a really stupid yet adorable thing to say, and it somehow made me go weak at the knees and giggle like an idiot. So yeah, we kissed and then ended up hooking up for the rest of the trip. Later that summer he became my Facebook official boyfriend for 2 months. I haven’t spoken to him for two years.

I lost my virginity in a one night stand the summer before my senior year of high school.

I did all of my college app essays the day they were due (I am the world’s biggest procrastinator in all things vital and important to my life).

I’m in an a cappella group at the College of William & Mary (woop, Passing Notes). I initially tried out for six a cappella groups and I had auditions that ranged from 7 pm to 4 am. I also used the same song for every single audition (Dream a Little Dream of Me, Mama Cass version). I was called back for two a cappella groups and I actually had a tough time deciding between the two. I ended up choosing Passing Notes because I liked their vibe and I had heard two of their songs playing earlier that day.
