6, 8, 23 and 34 for the fanfiction writers' ask please (:
6. What element of writing do you find comes easily?
I really like exposition - exploring a character’s thoughts, feelings, etc. I also really like dialogue, however, if I’m not as familiar with the characters, it can be a lot more difficult. I SUCK at writing action and angst and neither of those are things that I'm super comfortable with, so I tend to avoid. I know that means I sHOULD work on them but... sometimes I don’t wanna improve, I just wanna have fun lol
8. Which character(s) do you find easiest to write?
omg lmao I low-key hate when people ask me this because I never have a good way of answering it ugghhhh this is too long to actually answer because every single fandom would have it’s own answer based on what i’m familiar with writing of that fandom and where I started writing in that fandom so like it really just depends tbh?? LATELY, I’ve been feeling comfier writing older characters and exploring more adult minds, whereas for a long time I was strictly writing teenage POVs (since I was, ya know... a teenager).
I am sorry if this is a bad answer to this question aeogjaioergjorg IT’S JUST TOUGH AND IT DEPENDS ON THE FANDOM IG
23. Do you prefer prompts and challenges, or completely independent ideas?
LMAO actually when I get tired of my fifty-fucking-billion independent ideas I’ll call for prompts because it’s a good way to take a creative break from the other works I’m working on! I like to have a bit of a break from my more... expectation-laden works (usually ones I want to write or want to finish) but writing short, fun lil fics is a really good break from those! i actually recently reblogged an ask meme that you can find here and if you send me a pairing and a prompt, send it to me in an ask!
34. Copy and paste an excerpt you’re particularly fond of.
i’ve never written anything i’ve liked ever in my life lol but @fightinflame said:
Emma’s eyes, which were fucking gorgeous, held nothing but safety. They were kind, and gentle in the way the rest of her wasn’t. Angel knew what a girl wearing her skin as a weapon looked like, and Emma was one of the sharpest knives she’d ever seen. She wasn’t sharp with Angel and she... she loved her for it.
