My argument isnt everything from nature is nontoxic. thats ridiculous. We, as humans, belong to the earth. Without it, we can’t survive. On the other hand- the earth would flourish without us. It’s completely illogical to try and make naturally growing PLANTS “illegal” which is arbitrary anyway. Get what I am trying to say here? you missed my point.
you're right that i didn't directly address your point, sorry about that!
but i still disagree with your statement about making plants illegal. if somebody is growing/cultivating anything natural that could potentially hurt someone, it should be regulated. bodies of water are natural, but there are still laws about swimming pools.
when you mention the illegality of marijuana, hallucinogenic mushrooms (i'm assuming you weren't talking about the very legal and available kind), and peyote, the issue is not the instances where these plants occur naturally in the wilderness - the issue is human cultivation of these plants for human consumption on a large scale. nobody really cares if one lone weed plant grows in a forest.
