AU Brief Summary:
Nasha still battles with grief as she despises the man who had once been her whole world because he broke a very important promise to her in her childhood. In the midst of it all, she refuses comfort as she tries to balance out her hatred and longing for that man.

Given Circumstances:
In this universe, magic IS a thing, but not as prominent as in the canon verse. Different races in this world consist of humans, elves, dragon-kin, spirits, demons, etc. At the start of the story, there was a long war, the Great Dark War, that had ended eight years ago. During the war, most of the world's population was destroyed. The world, and the town that Nasha lives in is still recovering, and finally making advancements to leave the barriers and the fortress that had protected them during the war.
The technology of this world is kind of set in the early to mid 1900s, but also with the mix of magic incorporated. There are no cell phones or the internet. They do have television, but it's not mainstream, and many get their news from listening to the radio or reading the newspaper.
