 A fine day.

 The sky was a light pastel blue, mostly empty save the few birds flying around minding their bird business. The sun was particularly harsh today, with little to no clouds covering up its glorious beams of heat. But it didn’t affect the two girls sitting in the cool shadows of a cherry blossom.

 Ara had her head on Elesis’ legs, facing up at the red head with her eyes shut and a peaceful smile.Elesis couldn’t exactly feel her legs. How long have they been sitting here? 

 “Do you know what I’m thinking?” Ara asked, her eyes still closed in that serene fashion.The red head snapped out of her thoughts and looked down at the girl resting on her lap. So pure and adorable. 

 “No, but I’m sure you’ll tell me soon.” She replied, watching the ebonette slowly open one, then both of her eyes, shining like golden honey even under the shadows of the cherry blossom. 

 Ara then gave her a wide toothy grin.

Siri, have you ever seen a woman so beautiful you almost cried?

 “I was wishing for us to spend every day like this together. No demons, no dark El, no nothing.” She sighed softly, then shut her eyes once again, shifting a bit. “Wouldn’t that be so nice?” 

 “It definitely would.” Elesis watched the fallen petals dance in the air and finally settle on the ground. The ones mixed up with the spearsman’s jet black hair sported a shocking contrast that only nature can pull off. “But those are just silly thoughts, after all. We will have to leave this place soon.” 

 “I know.” Ara’s tone dropped a little, puckering her lips slightly. “But it never hurts to fantasize a little bit, does it?” 

 The red head chuckled. “I guess not.” It definitely would be nice to not have to worry about anything, and spend every day leisurely doing absolutely nothing in each other’s presence.

 “Just you and me, sitting under a tree…” 

 “Forever?” 

 “Forever.”
