As time goes on, trying to recall their faces gets harder and harder.

Jimmy doesn’t show his wings off very often. At least, he didn’t until Scott and Grian got on his case about taking care of himself during 3rd Life. After that, Scott kept encouraging him to show off his wings more and more, complimenting his wings with words like “pretty” or “strong” or “lovely” in an attempt to see them more frequently.

Over time, they became a more common sight, Jimmy even allowing himself to start expressing himself through wing movement like he had as a child. It was difficult at first to let others see such a private part of himself that he had hidden away for so long, but the Empires folks were nothing if not supportive.

Everyone knew that if Jimmy’s wings were wrapped around another person so entirely that it was impossible to see them, it was probably Scott being held tightly between Jimmy’s arms and wings. Scott never minded though, easily allowing the affection as he curled into Jimmy’s embrace.
