I'm back to fostering for a bit after 3 long years of not fostering! Meet smol, awkward poof after eating like 7 mLs of warm slurry and passing out in purring bliss ahaha. (He sleeps in funny positions bc his brain is still a lil cooked and normal positions make him vestibular.)
I said I wasn’t gonna foster again until I get a larger home, but this was a very special case. He’s a severe pediatric head trauma case from my hospital who -- against all odds -- survived being in a coma for 2 days. He woke up on the 3rd day and tried to start being a kitten again, but a few hours after waking and eating on his own for the first time, his owners called and confessed that they were out of money and had to euthanize. NONE of us were happy about this (even them) so I convinced them to sign over legal rights to me. They did, so now I'm rehabbing this smol poof for a coworker who wants him once he's better.
