Organized some perfume samples today to make sense of what I have but I might never be done, so let's take a break and look at the pretty light and go through some empties. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Firstly, the Sothys eye pencil that I loved and isn't easy to find. This was a twist up, so no sharpening required and yes, that's my favourite type of pencil. I think it came as part of a duo, and is on the Sothy's website. They have a Canadian website. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Moving on - @NeutrogenaCanada serum sunscreen. I loved this because it's so light but it's also so shimmery. I liked it but some of you may not. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ LIttle mini Kerastase hair conditioner - loved it, thanks for the sample @jeromesalon. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Larger @alternahaircarecan Caviar Anti-Frizz Conditioner. I liked it, but the bond-repair conditioner is more smoothing especially if you have curly hair and would like something smoothing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Finally, a mini Luna oil from Sunday Riley. This was a freebie in, what else, a Sephora order. I caught the sun this morning, so here are some empties. I took a break last weekend because there wasn't anything but today there is. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Alterna Caviar Restructuring Bond Repair mask. I love this line because it makes my hair so smooth and I do a weekly conditioning treatment with this mask. Love it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Neutrogena Ultra-Sheer Moisturizing Face Serum Sunscreen. SPF 50+. This is a light easy-to-wear sunscreen. Broad Spectrum and a high enough SPF that you'll be protected for a while. Love it. I would love a larger bottle of it so that it would last me longer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Pixi Skintreats Retinol Tonic. I like this ok... smelled like Dettol... I used it as a toner in the morning. Again it was fine, but I don't know if it was doing much. I just used it to wipe on my skin first thing in the morning in place of a cleanse and it was great. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Tarte the Tartelette Tubing Mascara. I loved this mascara and I will for sure repurchase. It's a dark intense black and the real tubing formula just lasts and lasts. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Dior moisturising lipstick in a clear shimmer colour. Empties from the past few weeks. I've mentioned all of these in passing, and have reviewed them at some point, but here goes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Neutrogena Stubborn Marks PM Treatment. I would say that this didn't seem to be overly effective. They said that this had Retinol SA in it which is "highly refined" but there's no mention of how much... The term "stubborn marks" is also vague... when there's a new mark... it seems stubborn because of our own perception, but is that the same as a sunspot that is going to be more persistent? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I did love the Neutrogena Stubborn Texture Cleanser. It's gently foaming so I like that but not stripping. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ K18. I don't know why, I gave this another chance. I think I'm going to say that if this is doing anything, I can't tell, so ... pass for me. Honestly, I think the best thing for my hair is the @keratinworks treatment because after it I can wash and go instead of blow-drying and maybe that's the best thing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Christophe Robin Luscious Curl Cleansing Balm - I love this for after swimming in the pool because it's kind of like a shampoo and conditioner in one. It doesn't foam, and it's not for a deep clean. I only used it twice a week, but I do like it and would repurchase. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lise Watier Sublimessence Vitamin C serum - I loved this serum. I did think that it made my skin look more glowy and it was easy to use with my other skincare. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Wash - again, nice and not too drying. A few skincare empties, including sunscreen… can we just talk about refillable skincare? I don’t know if I’m ready for a lifetime commitment to any skincare product so what do I do with the empty shells? Save them for when I decide to get a refill? I don’t know when that might be. I also ran out of the Trinny London Balm Cleanser and this is the second one I’ve gone through. So the shell will wait because I’m using an oil cleanser right now. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Finished a tube of Neutrogena Dry Touch Ultra Sheer lotion. The brand has better formulas. If you want a matte sunscreen try their Clear Face one. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Finished a Charlotte Tilbury Glow Toner. I have to say that I do like their skincare. I wasn't expecting a lot, but this is an exfoliating toner that has a cushiony feel and is a little moisturizing too thanks to lactic acid. I like it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Dry Skin cleansing oil is very moisturizing. I used it as a first cleanse and then follow up with a foaming cleanser. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Boscia Caviar Lime vitamin C serum is maybe one of my favourites of all time. It's a 10% concentration and feels almost watery going on. No pilling and no tackiness. Feels liek nothing on your skin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My morning routine does just consist of cleansing with the toner, using a vitamin C and using a sunscreen, so these are pretty regular empties for me. It's a Thursday that feels like a Friday! Hair empties only this week, and of course, an empty and a newbie. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've always had a backup of the L'Oreal Wonder Water, because I love how smooth and soft it makes my hair, but I don't think that I'll be keeping a backup of it anymore because it's hard to find and I don't have room for all the backups of products. I do love it though. I know that people don't like the scent, but I use it mostly on my ends and it doesn't bother me too much. There are tons of brands that have a similar technology out now, so I would say that if this scent bothers you, try one of the other ones. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Amika Flash Instant Shine Mask is a good option and it's giving the same type of treatment as the L'Oreal - I actually think that I bought this one first, but I haven't always kept it in rotation. I actually have a little mini of this and I'll be using that next. It's not as smoothing as the L'Oreal but it smells better and makes my hair very soft. I would repurchase. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bumble and Bumble Blonde Conditioner. I now use these purple conditioners as an occasional hair mask, and find that they tone much better that way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Moroccanoil Treatments - I've gone through 2 minis that I got free in Sephora orders and I love this treatment. It really does cut down on frizz and make your hair nicer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Moroccanoil Mending Infusion which is like a split ends treatment. It's ok. Some empties from the past couple of weeks. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ First, this old @fentybeauty setting powder. Do you throw yours away once it gets to this stage or do you keep using your powders until they are completely done? I find that I can pick up product from the edges with a smaller brush, but I like to apply powder with a big fluffy brush and it's impossible to pick up enough product now. I do like this powder for setting, but it's not really long-lasting or very mattifying. Apply powder thinly and work in layers. I like to apply a bit before my foundation and then some after, but I'm pretty glowy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @christopherobinparis Aloe Melting Mask was maybe the best-smelling hair product ever. Like a gorgeous men's fougere... If you see this in a store, see if you can smell it. I'm going to rebuy, even though I go through conditioner so quickly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @amika Dream Routine Overnight Hydration Treatment. Adored this. Great on wet or dry hair and the finish is not greasy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @neutrogenacanada Ultra Sheer Body Mist. Mists don't give you the best coverage, so I use to top up or even just to cool down. I do like applying on my shoulders if I can feel them heating up. But cream sunscreen is best. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Neutrogena Hydro Boost. One of my all-time favs especially for the body. It's a little shimmery but the texture is weightless. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @kaifragrance Body Wash. I've really grown to love the scent of this gardenia body wash, and I've run out of my body lotion as well. Beautiful body products. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @garniercan Micellar Water. I used this as a last step in my cleansing routine to take off any leftover makeup residue, and I loved it for that! Finally, L’Oréal Le Colour Gloss to keep those highlights a bit toned. Imagine my surprise when I went to use this and found the tube almost empty. A few empties... well, 9 to be exact. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let's start with the most luxurious one, the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, I took my half-empty jar on vacation with me, and ended up finishing it. It went on everything from my face to sunburns. I have a backup jar of this. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Glossier Body Hero. In the end, although the white floral scent wasn't what I was expecting, I did really like this body cream. It leaves your skin glowing and is really good at moisturizing. Melts on contact on hot days and I love that too. I may rebuy this. Absolutely will rebuy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser. I didn't want this one to finish! It was so good! Rebuy! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ L'Oreal Wonder Water. Again, works in all temperatures. You already know that I have a backup of this waiting for me at home. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Aveeno Baby Daily Lotion. This is a beautiful fragrance free lotion, again, melts into your skin, doesn't pill or ever get clumpy. Not just for babies. Everyone should have this one hand. It also helps colloidal oatmeal in it which is known to sooth skin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Trinny London Retinal/Niacinamide cream. I used this at night. I finished the cream, and threw out the refill. One oldie and one newbie! I am still on the fence about K18 but I’ve gotten into the habit of using it every other time and it’s kind of a “just in case” what if it works kind of hair product for me. I normally use a leave-in conditioner anyway so why not use this one. I finished a few other things. Live Clean Intense Moisture lotion. I’m sure I’ve had this for like 2 years and it’s done. This is a great moisturizer for the body and not that expensive. I loved the fragrance-free version. Skin Proud Detox Tonic. I will always prefer something in a pump bottle like this. This lactic acid toner was very gentle. The line is available at Walmart. Ren Ever Calm overnight recovery balm. I’ve been keeping these balms on hand and they’re great. My hands are so dry these days. Olaplex Bond Smoother Leave In Styling Cream. Again, I don’t know. Not a fav and I didn’t like the smell. I did end up buying the oil at the Sephora sale.
