I don’t know if someone in the « Vegeta - 18 mutual hate » constatation has mentioned it but :

When Vegeta wanted to trigger the Androids, 18 proposed herself. Vegeta then said « I won’t go easy because you’re a woman. You’re not even a woman but a piece of junk ».

He never showed any respect for the Androids (even as opponents), unlike the other Z fighters who were just scared, considering them as enemies more than « piece of junk ». Worse for 18, belittling her for not being a « woman » to his eyes but just some puppet to beat (16 and 17 were« just » insulted, 18 get misogyny and it’s not out of character from Vegeta considering that he hooked up with Bulma, has a mid pull out game and literally ignored the woman who gave birth to HIS child and wasn’t there to raise trunks at the beginning…)

It contrast A LOT with Krillin who showed compassion not only to 18 because he had a crush on her, but also 17 and 16. Same for the other Z fighter like Piccolo or Tien who tried to stop Cell and told the Androids to run away, unlike Vegeta rubbing his hands to know Cell would be stronger after absorbing the androids.

That’s why 18 vibe with the other introvert like Piccolo or Tien but not Vegeta. She didn’t forget that she’s wasn’t a woman to his eyes, even if he changed his mind later, while Tien and Piccolo fought Cell and let her ran away with 16.
