friday night dreams that stretched to saturday mornings that lasted ‘til evening

you told me to stop being sorry misunderstood me like always so we could make up again

holding each other when the sun came up cartoons at dawn

under the covers till noon pajamas and cereal it felt good to just be

never as simple anymore letting go of our past holding onto my heart

talking to you just isn’t the same as we wanted it to be

I need to know feel it all and understand

you loved me made me believe what I had to say

I’m afraid to go on too far gone to turn around

you’re not here nobody hears and all the eyes are on me

sleeping in is a lot colder than it ever was before and now our bed is as empty as our days used to be
