I can't be the only one who gets freaked out by an onslaught of empty Tumblrs following me. Who are you all and what do you want with me?!

I got a follow from a person that I had to block. But I want to use it as an example for newer people.

I blocked out the name because this isn’t an attack on this person.

But when this is the only post on your blog, no reblogs, and a handful of likes?

And you decide to use the word “stalk” like it’s cute and fun? It’s not. Not to someone who has had an actual stalker and feared for their life (and that of their child) because of it.

“Oh it’s only Tumblr”? In a handful of hours from when I made a post last night and less than 24 hours of anons being turned on for Wrecker Wednesday I received this. (The anons are turned off again)

Screenshot because blocked/reported deletes the ask. It probably doesn’t matter because the person is probably using garbage emails to make accounts. Or that’s my best guess. Anyways I was going to ignore as part of the blocked/reported deal. But considering both of these happened to come up at the same time I thought it was a good illustration.

This is why some of us block empty accounts.

Empty tumblrs

Every time one of you mofo’s follow me, I’m going to report you for being a bot. I’ve seen an increase in these in the last few months and it’s like @staff doesn’t give a damn. Guess you’re going to have your hands busy @support with all these being flagged.  Empty tumblrs, this is your notice. Stop following me. I don’t need bots upping my follower count, I’m good without it.
