It would seem I have fallen into the "empty liminal space/existential dread" portion of Youtube essay videos. Appropriate considering that this is the spoopy month I suppose :D

Here's a video I found going over some examples of unsettling and alien worlds in video games (and one example from manga). I live for this kind of aesthetic, I get chills and shivers and goosebumps like nobody's business.

Give it a watch if you're into that sort of thing! Though be aware there'll probably be spoilers for the media covered, so if you'r'e wanting to experience these places for yourself, maybe make a note and come back later :P

Sky Beach, My Valentine's Day Present to The Sims Community

Hope you guys enjoy it.  Its an empty world for you to build.  Don’t worry Harvest Township is still in the works, but for now, you can play with and build in this completely new empty world.  Sorry I forgot to mention what packs it uses.  It includes lots from all expansion packs, but that shouldn’t matter too much, because they are all empty except for the ports.  There are bridges and street lights however that are from World Adventures, and Late Night, as well as some streetlights from Ambitions.  Those will not show up if you do not have those packs.  There are dive lots which require Island Paradise, but they’re empty, so it shouldn’t matter too much.  Only lots that aren’t empty are the ports, which also require Island Paradise, however there are no houseboats unless you add them, so it shouldn’t matter too much.  Here is a link to where you can download it on the exchange

Update 3/13/2023

Sorry, It turns out I made a mistake.  After double checking I realized that I used one of the trees from Pets and one of the Bridges from Supernatural.  You will definitely need those packs.

General Map Size: Medium Spawn Points: All from Basegame Performance Routing Info: Sims can't go to any rocky areas. Camera can't go behind the edges of the world, or behind the mountain. Layering: 15 layers - General, Residential lots, Community lots, Individual ones for different tree types, then for some different areas. Textures: 11 - Some chunks have 9-11 paints used in one. The world has been play tested and this has not caused any lag. Lots Total: 73 Community: 33 Residential: 40

Games required Basegame, World adventures, Ambitions and Late night are required for the world to look exactly like it is suppose to. You can however use the world without Late Night installed. The rest of the games are required for you to use this. Patch levels Basegame - 1.19.44, World adventures - 2.13.6, Ambitions - 4.7.4, Late night - 6.2.4.

Here comes the revised version of Springville. Autumn Falls is based on the same map but with more space for lots. Some streets and the downtown were changed too. All rabbitholes are included and there placement was also changed a bit. You only need the basegame to play this hood. General
