After re-reading Emu4 and some of Rui’s other focus events, I am convinced Rui has a specific autistic trait. ( coming from a diagnosed autistic person. )
No, I am not talking about how he feels different from everyone around this time.
I’m talking about that crying scene.
So, what I am talking about is basically, when you want to cry, or like, you want to be vulnerable with the people around but your body REFUSES to allow it. This is something that I think Rui might have.
Something quite common in autistic people is that they will hide certain emotions until their body cannot take it anymore.
In Emu4, Tsukasa basically gave them quote in quote ‘permission to cry’ ( assuming because wxs were a group of happiness and smiles ).
That was the trigger. A permission to let your emotions spill out and be vulnerable, this is something that I and probably a lot of you have. Tsukasa giving that word was the trigger in Rui’s mind that finally let those bottled up emotions spill on their own, when your mind gets overwhelmed it does things before you can even recognise it.
Tsukasa, Emu and Nene all were practically crying their eyes out even before Tsukasa had gave that final call. Rui’s mind probably got overwhelmed to the point his emotions spilled.
I don’t know how to describe it very well so I apologise if everything’s a little scruffy! Uhm but yeah, I have had this thought for a couple of weeks now and thought I’d share and get your own thoughts of it.
Have a nice day!
