Got to rewatch Monster House today and god I love it. I love Constance. I love that her being fat is never treated as a bad thing. It's not ugliness or disgusting. The most it's ever brought up is just that some kids started a rumor that Mr. Nebbercracker "fattened her up and ate her," which just isn't true, it's just dumb kids being dumb kids.

I love that Horace (apparently that's Mr. Nebbercracker's first name?) is head over heels with her the moment he lays eyes on her. She is not less beautiful because of her weight- he doesn't love her despite it- he loves her because of how she looks.

That's just so uncommon, both in media and in real life. It feels like being fat is a negative trait one must make up for to be "worth" loving, rather than an attractive trait in itself.

Cello2WC (our gf) reminded us of this really cool project she made about a year or so ago! I think it's really amazing. If you guys like Pokemon Creepypastas and/or body horror, this'll be right up your ally. It's based off of Pokemon Blue.

The pokemon sprites were done by the same person who made Buried Alive and White Hand's sprites!

This link is where it started- aside from the physical copies she printed. But this is the more accessible way of getting ahold of it. There's a drive link in there (here it is for easier access)- if you use an emulator you can play it yourself! Alternatively, there's a video someone made after seeing the post, but I really do recommend you check it out yourself! The video doesn't see everything! There's so many little details and alternatives in this.

Polyamory vent below cut

I hate being polyamorous and chronically fatigued. I have so much love and I don’t have the energy to support it. I keep hurting people by going after them and then realizing I bit off more than I can chew. I can’t handle that many people’s happiness if I’m too depressed to handle my own. But I can’t back off without hurting them. I’m a monster. I’m fundamentally broken. Why do I keep doing this and then getting avoidant when they rightfully get mad at me.
