what's being a 1 with a 7 fix like?
First of all, 1 cores have this stupid tendency to incorporate their fixes into their morals – the stronger the fix, the bigger impact it has on our morality. It’s the same with 7 fix – while your stereotypical 1 core hates fun, a 1 core with a 7 fix sees “fun” as part of its morals. You could argue that it’s a less boring 1 because of that, and maybe, but that’s still a 1 core. Being a fun and flexible person who is generally against all kind of rules becomes a rule itself; there’s no escape from the compliance hell.
7 fix (at least a strong one, a 1 core with 7 fix last probably doesn’t feel it as much) makes the 1 core less responsible than its 5 and 6 fix counterparts. It doesn’t just make the 1 core more fun, it makes the 1 core need fun. It makes it less likely to do the things the 1 core should do but finds boring, it often makes it take things less seriously than other 1 cores (what can be a good or a bad thing depending on the situation).
While 1s are usually thought of as people who reject “pleasure”, that’s a result of their compliance/competency influence being strengthened by their head fix. 1 on its own is the kind to ignore its own desires because of the rules it has put on itself, but 7 is inherently a pleasure-seeking type. 1 cores with a 7 fix don’t find it immoral to want fun and pleasure, often justifying that with the ideal of Freedom. In a 7 fixie 1 core’s mind, trying to deprive someone of fun is evil, what might lead it to criticize and judge other 1 cores.
Freedom itself is a very important part of the 1’s morality. It might sometimes clash with the 1 core nature, especially if 2 wing; as a gut and competency core, 1 is certain that it knows best what other people should do. But just as it doesn’t want its own freedom to be violated, it has to make sure to not deprive others of theirs, too. While it feels compelled to give unwanted advice, it keeps reminding itself that in the end it’s not its choice. Forcing someone to do what they don’t want to do is immoral.
In the end it’s not as contradictory as people tend to think, though? 7 fix doesn’t stop a 1 from being a 1. It makes it less likely to get as worked up about things as a 1 core with a 6 fix, it makes it less responsible than a 1 core with a 5 fix, it makes it more freedom-focused. And in the end it’s the same 1 core bullshit, just with some rarer “rules”.
