Bruno, Jorge, and Hernando Headcanons
My girlfriend @acrylicqueen and I are obsessed with everything Bruno right now so I'm subjecting everyone to our headcanons about him and our favorite crack-patcher and spackle maker.
Bruno
- After the events of the movie he's slowly readjusting to life as part of the family again, and finding his place in Casita/Encanto once more. He's still reserved and a bit quiet when around groups/others, but everyone is getting used to his presence again.
- Bruno's room in the walls of Casita still exists, and sometimes he returns there/hangs out in there when he's overwhelmed and wants to go somewhere "safe."
- Bruno sometimes has short, random, involuntary visions. These can happen anywhere and at anytime. During these visions he can't see anything around him, only able to see his vision, but he can still feel and hear things around him.
- Bruno gets nosebleeds every time he has visions.
- If he pushes himself too far while having a vision, he tends to pass out and is very weak afterwards.
- He also tends to have panic attacks when he has visions - the involuntary ones trigger them more than intended visions do, as he has no way to prepare for them/for what he's seeing.
- He sometimes tries to suppress his visions, which causes him a lot of pain and stress and anxiety. This usually leaves him with a terrible migraine, curled up somewhere while crying.
- Bruno likes acting out stories and telenovelas for his family - Dolores and Pepa are particularly invested in the stories.
- Bruno created Jorge and Hernando before he'd gone to live in the walls - they were created to embody personality traits he wished he had, as he feels incredibly insecure about himself. They manifested into physical "characters" so he would feel less lonely in the walls, as well as being able to act like these types of characters he himself feels like he couldn't be.
- He continues to switch between and act like these characters even after becoming part of the family again. He likes them, and so does the family.
Hernando
- Hernando was created to be the brave, confident personality that Bruno wished he could be. Where Bruno felt skittish, shy, and...well, not brave, Hernando was the opposite. Brave, confident, cocky, a total 180 from how Bruno felt normally.
- Hernando never takes the hood off. Don't try. (Bruno has a hard time staying in character without their signature head covering - hence why Hernando doesn't take the hood off.)
- Despite this, Bruno's face DOES change when he's Hernando - his expression is much more confident and cocky beneath his hood. No one gets to see that though.
- Sometimes Bruno switches to Hernando when he's struggling or too nervous/scared to put his thoughts into words.
- Hernando likes to flirt and fluster his partner. :)
Jorge
- Jorge was created to be a much more chill, laid back, and unbothered. While Bruno was constantly on edge and worried about the future, and just anxious in general, Jorge goes with the flow and doesn't stress about things. Whatever happens happens, and he can't do anything about it.
- He's very curt when he speaks. He just doesn't have a lot to say and is a man of few words. Very serious.
- He's also a big sweetheart.
- Do not remove the bucket.
- He makes the spackle.

This is so embarassing!
Encanto fandom jokes that will never not be funny:
- "The magic is STRONG"
- "ISABELA YOUR BOYFRIEND'S HERE"
- Pretending that Hernando and Jorge are actual characters and not just Bruno being silly
the halls behind the walls of casita
things i noticed in these screenshots
1. the amount of walls with spackle on it (a lot of the walls have been fixed by bruno over the course of 10 years
2. the hanging aloe vera plants and more boxes next to the recently fixed cracks, plus the bowl of salt
3. i’m starting to think that the bambo and wooden planks that are in between the walls were placed there by bruno himself (the ones they climb across in screenshots 5, 6 and 7). i’m not sure about the stairs/platform that brunos runs across though), i dont know the answer but thats my headcannon anyway. all i know is that the bambo pipes that the rats run across in screenshots 23, 24, and 29 were defiantly made by bruno
4. i really want to know what caused the not-so-bottomless pit. was it created by cracks along the floorboards that fell away? did bruno accidentally/purposefully create it? was it there before he went into the walls? i have no idea
5. i noticed the plant roots above the not-so-bottomless pit in screenshot 16, 17, 18, and 19. probably over thinking this one but when i saw that, my first thought was that they were below isabelas room. again, i dunno
6. you can see how dusty it is in screenshots 4, 5, 11, and 20
again, there is a hell ton of stuff to talk about in these screenshots but those are the main things that i noticed
