Let's not forget all of the autistic people and especially autistic young men who have been unfairly targeted by bad police officers. I have a friend who cops said was "acting suspiciously" when he was just being himself (he has autism just like me) and if his mother hadn't intervened may have gotten arrested. And he is fucking white.

Let us not forget the young autistic men who don't understand social cues and get put on a list for being "stalkers". Or who get accused of other crimes especially by women for not understanding what is and isn't acceptable.

Example: A young man with autism who doesn't know you shouldn't comment on a woman's legs when you find her attractive and is really trying to be complementary but gets accused of sexual harassment.

Or the young autistic people who get abused and taken advantage of because of their disorder.

The fact that the vast majority of autistic adults (those who can work) are unemployed or underemployed. Even though it's illegal to fire someone or refuse to hire them because of their disability it still fucking happens.

The Future is Accessible!!

End the segregation between non-disabled & disabled folx #EndAbleism #EndDisabilityErasure

Include disabled women, disabled PoC, disabled LGBT+, disabled people of diverse faiths, disabled immigrants, and disabled chronically & terminally ill!

The revolution must be accessible and it must protect those whose lives are at stake! For some their survival is their activism! Accessibility now!
