Squashed: Minecraft Ender Eye Ryan Fic
Note: This was inspired by @sortaferal and their response to an ask about Ender Eye Ryan being adopted by young Endermen! Enjoy!
Ryan had lost his eye years ago, back when Achievement City was still unburried by lava. Back then he had replaced it with an Ender Eye of all things a few days later. For a few years Ryan struggled with the eye, and its attempts to warp him into an Enderman. Ryan had vanished shortly before AH city was destroyed. When he returned as the fires and the lava filled the land he was fully himself and on complete control of his new abilities.
Ryan had explained he left to keep his friends safe while he learned but he found a new continent with the perfect spot to rebuild. It took a little bit, but soon everyone forgave Ryan for running and they adjusted to their new home.
In the time between Ryan's return and present many things changed but life moved forward. They retained many of their old habits. Their games for example remained.
In fact that was what Ryan was prepping for right now. The Gent was depositing his sword and supplies into a chest in his room, yawning as he went.
Fatigue had become a common thing for Ryan long ago. Shortly after shoving the Ender Eye into his socket, his sleep schedule had gone haywire. He just couldnt sleep well. Jack had managed to get coffee growing at the cove which was a life saver but it didnt replace a good nights sleep.
In recent days Ryan's sleep schedule was thrown off even more due to heavy research. He had started to teach himself Creeper, much to Gavin's delight. The Lad had been Raised by the explosive moss creatures, and missed talking in his native language. Gavin in return, was trying to learn Ender. Ryan now had a natural affinity for the language and had started to learn back when he left AH city in his early attempts to stop his violent outbursts.
So Ryan had taken to camping out at night outside the cove. The fields beyond the wall had many creepers and due to his now, hybrid nature, they didnt see him as a threat. Gavin would join him to sometimes, and the rest of the lads would come to very rarely.
Ryan was staring off lost in thought and didnt notice the echoing Vwoop that filled his room until suddenly there was immense weight on his back.
"Gah!" Ryan yelped as he fell to the floor under a pile of small Endermen.
"Baby Brother! Sleep Baby Brother!" The hoard of Endermen chirped.
Ryan knew Endermen had kids, it was rare to see them but they existed. During his self imposed exile he had learned a lot about his new situation and the lives of Endermen. They had large litters, and very rarely did they adopt outsiders into the litter.
"Baby brother?" Ryan chirped from under the pile. The smallest of the Ender piped up.
"Parent gifted you family! You are baby brother now!"
Oh. Ryan's mind turned back to a few days ago. He had gone out to try to speak with a few Creepers but couldnt find any. Rather he found an Endermen chasing the usual nighttime monsters away.
The Enderman had seen him and kept close to him that night. They hadn't talked and instead simply handed Ryan an Ender Pearl. He didnt think much of it.
Now he wasnt sure it was nothing.
"The..." the right tones for the Ender word escaped him and Ryan huffed. "Pearl! The Pearl?"
"Yes! Parent saw you had none. Said baby brother is to young to have no pearl! So parent made you one, named you Baby Brother!" The littlest one chirped very pleased with themself. Ryan thought back to what he had learned about Endermen family units. There wasnt much but he knew each Family had a unique Pearl they were born with that was in their chests and helped facilitate their teleportation. Ryan didnt know they could give these Pearls away!
"Ok... can I leave now then? My friends wil-"
"No! Baby Brother isnt sleeping! You could get hurt!" The little chirp shouted and Ryan groaned, dropping his head back to the ground. It looked like he wasnt going anywhere soon.
Jack groaned as he ascended to Ryan's home, swimming up the waterfall.
"Goddamn Ryan, better not be Skipping on me. I'm not doing this with just Gavin." Jack muttered as he finally reached the top and kicked in the door.
"Alright Fucker, what's taking so... long? Oh what the fuck?!" Jack exclaimed as he took in the sight before him.
"Hi Jack." Ryan said from under the pile of baby Ender. Jack sputtered.
"Apperantly I have siblings now. And they want me to sleep." The eyes of the hoard of Endermen turned to Jack in confusion. Jack suddenly burst out laughing. His belly laugh echoing across the cove as he flopped over on the ground in a fit.
"Is the big human ok?" One of the Ender chirped. "Will he hurt us ?"
"No! No, no, no! Jack's a friend. He's just a dick." Ryan chirped. Suddenly a devious smirk crossed his face.
"Actually he only gets like this when he is Super tired! I'm worried he isnt sleeping enough." Ryan chirped and the heads of various little Ender rose.
"Yeah, he won't hurt you! But I think he needs a nap to." Jack's laugh started to slow as the chirping conversation continued.
"Ryan? Ryan what are you telling them?" Ryan's smirk only rose as several of the Ender vanished and Jack felt a weight on him. "Ryan!"
Now it was Ryan's turn to burst out laughing as Jack fell to the floor and was teleported under the main pile with Ryan.
"Its naptime Jack!" Ryan wheezed between laughs. Jack kept struggling but eventually gave in, only glaring at Ryan good naturedly.
"Alright fuckers what's taking? Holy shit what is happening here?!" Geoff's voice echoed into the house. Ryan poked his head up to see Geoff, Gavin, Michael and Jeremy in the door way, staring in. Jeremy was laughing uncontrollably with Gavin and Michael. Geoff just look so tired.
"I have siblings now." Ryan said plainly. "And its Naptime apperantly, and Jack was included."
"Holy shit! Holy Shit!" Michael wheezed. Jack and Ryan seemed to have the same idea as they shared a devious look.
"Fuck! Fuck!" Gavin squawked as Ryan chirped to the hoard.
"Run!" Jeremy shouted as they playfully tried to get away. But they could not escape the hoard. Gavin dragged Jeremy down as they laughed and squawked and were absorbed under the pile next to Jack and Ryan.
"RYAN!" Geoff shouted as he was brought in between Gavin and Jeremy. Michael didnt fight back, just laughed and laughed in his swallowed humming way as he was brought in.
Once everyone was down the pile began to hum. A deep calming humming purr came out from the pile and one by one each man fell asleep until is was just a bleary eyed Ryan and the smallest Ender child left awake.
"Baby brother? Do the humans actually like us?" The little one asked.
"They are good guys." Ryan assured. "It may take a bit but I doubt they'll hurt you. Your family."
Ryan still wasnt entirely sure about the sudden adoption, but the combined purring and the innocence in the Ender Children made Ryan feel more at ease. The little one perked up, purring even harder.
Ryan reciprocated the purr as the littlest Ender curled up under Ryan's chin and began to fall asleep.
"Good. We want Baby Brother happy. And we want Baby Brother's friends happy to." The little Ender purred. "Parent won't be back for long time. Parent asked Brothers and Sister to stay with Baby Brother until Parent returned. Smallest is happy we can stay."
Ryan purred some more, thay happy humming purr as the little Ender, apperantly dubbed Smallest, drifted off. Ryan sat in the warmth of the pile, human family and new Ender family mingling together feeling peace take over and drifting off.
"Aw! Ryan, I didnt know you were such a softie!" Gavin cooed. Ryan snorted and grabbed the nearest pillow and pelted Gavin with it. Gavin Squawked and Michael grabbed the lad and dragged him back down with a snorted, Stop that! Ryan gave a half assed laugh as finally, sleep took him.
