If you want to contribute to the takedown of the CW, please unfollow all of their accounts, stop engaging their accounts and using their hashtags, stop watching their shows live and on streaming services, uninstall their apps, and stop buying merch from them directly. This will hurt them by devaluing their shows. Idealy, cutting out WB property entirely would be good (and CBS, tbh).

This was not a program greenlit with queer leads, its audiences were fraught and miscalculated, and it was playing by a different rulebook from the seeming contemporaries ten years its junior that are afforded queerness with varying privilege. Supernatural was playing a sophisticated, risky game. Push the subtextual restraints until they break. Hold the pieces up to the world’s eyes. Dare it to put them back.

S&L coming in about the same place Walker did first night, 0.37. At a glance the demos are very similar. (Left S&L right Walker). S&L lacks younger demo Walker quickly drained but has stronger middle aged demo. The difference is the 50+ that doesn't effect live.
This is what I mean when I say 50+ doesn't effect live but it's where the higher viewership value in raw audience came in for Walker which is why it had the inflated numbers with shit ratings. That means audience losses in S&L will more directly affect live as a general statement. #IStandWithNadria may have actually affected retention by the look of last night so we'll see.
We actually saw dozens of non-fandom people climbing in abroad once it got trending saying “I watched/wanted to watch but I’m not going to now”, so it had an effect--and we’re planning on doing it again.
As a reminder, shows generally lose about 15% of their demo in the first 3 episodes. The question is if it loses more than that. #IStandWithNadria folks may want to consider scheduling 5 tweets each at 7PM EST Tues Mar 2 to sound off in a clap, since last time it was organic. The #IStandWithNadria tag just kinda popped up on impulse since we hadn’t been able to organize in a meaningful way due to life issues, even if we had planned to do something.
If everyone climbing into #IStandWithNadria across multiple fandoms involved scheduled 5 tweets for Mar 2 7PMEST with the tag & info, one could easily skyrocket it. So send to your moots & GCs. I sure will.
Whether you’re just anti-CW and want them to crash and burn (since this is gonna be their money maker with Walker already chugging out and it has MUCH higher production value)-- or someone genuinely interested in this kind of thing because Nadria was done dirty-- consider going to tweetdeck/hootsuite and scheduling tweets.

While tracking our various tags (dark purple is #Walker, light purple is #harmed, bright magenta is #walkawaytexasranger), one: we actually shattered in engagement, especially considering they’re still getting big lifts from official accounts.
For those who DO hope Walker starts to feel a crunch: I took this at 9:30 CST, give or take. Or an hour and a half after the episode ended. The far left side peak you see is it declining from the actual episode airing. You may notice today’s highs for the show actually reflect the lows from between east/west coast airings last week.
Another note: Seems like someone’s catching on, and #WalkAwayTexasRanger stopped autofilling on mobile devices. When you typed WA before, it would pop it up above walker family (which btw is that blue base line you can barely see in the chart) and Walker itself, then it just vanished.

Was it just my version of Twitter mobile, or did we get blocked from trending tonight?
Nope, it was just relevant interest lists, it broke above the line of HappyBirthdayDeanWinchester, but wasn’t categorized as entertainment, so it showed up on random feeds. We expected Charmed and Riverdale days to be ... smaller though. They’re smaller fandoms (clock under 0.2 on ratings) and people have less /rage/ at them. I have a troll in my inbox that’s angry, but small as tonight was, we still pulled another $600 for RAICES.
I’m tempted to call the Riverdale one off, because Charmed just does /not/ get the interest. Unfortunately, my sounding box is distinctly in SPN fandom.
In calling Riverdale off though, I’m gonna make an executive call in honor of the troll in my inbox: rather than waiting for Jan 29, I think we’ll actually do a Jan 28 method, but we’re gonna restrategize.

Our difference was in being too polite this time, compared to the first SomethingtoSay, and not trying to anti-trend all day long. But 3PM EST is an easier break-out point than 8PM.
