I miss the c!ranboo lore sm. I wish I knew how it ended, the background of it, just ANYTHING to make it make sense. It was genuinely one of the most interesting storylines I’ve seen, and I will forever praise ranboo’s writing on it. c!ranboo was such a character… they were so endearing. I was really invested. Rlly wish they had gotten an actual conclusion, yanno?

MY ENDERWALKING RESEARCHER THEORIES

Historical writing: This one seems the most obvious to me, the state of the page looks so weathered and the font is made to look older and more extravagant. Since it is written from the perspective of a researcher looking into history that is mostly inaccessible or unknown (*cough* the end *cough*), it would make sense why there would be unanswered questions. The personal notes can be seen as a writer jotting down reminders, or (this one i favor more) as someone who has tampered with the journal trying to get the author to stop researching, making the author paranoid. since there is also the quote “do not let this happen multiple times”, it can also be seen as a historian trying to prevent history from repeating itself

Failed Science Experiment: Since the page is written from a researchers point of view and is looking into things like history, effects, and classification, it can easily be from a disgraced scientist. I mean, we’ve seen Ranboo be treated like a lab rat before. I’m getting a similar spiraling researcher as the historian, except the research he’s doing is hands-on, based on living enderwalkers. 

Close relation to an enderwalker: My last theory is that the said researcher has an enderwalker child/family member/friend/partner or something akin to that. (I personally favor the idea that the researcher fell in love with an enderman, having an enderwalker child who he is trying to help). This would explain why the journal is so unproffesional and messy, in addition to it having crown doodles and scribbles. If it was written by a single person, then that would make it easier for someone to find the book and tamper with it too.

so you know how at the top of the page there's this crossed off word that starts with circ?

So I was thinking about how most of this page is documented kinda like a scientific study of sorts, trying to learn about the enderwalking state. well wouldn’t you KNOW but theres a certain scientific term that starts with those letter that juuuuust might be applicable here.

A circadian rhythm in humans is the natural sleep-wake cycle and these systems can be disturbed under mental duress . The enderwalking state might legitimately be a natural aspect of Ranboo’s biology but can be triggered if Ranboo is put in extreme situations of stress or fear like an adrenaline kick. Ranboo has said before that his enderwalking state seems “a bit more wild” and we’ve seen him go into enderwalk while going to visit dream in prison for the first time (a moment of extreme stress and anxiety) and after sapnap delivers him a message (a moment of anxiety and fear). 

We also know that Ranboo has tried tracking himself while he ‘asleep’ with maps only for those maps to be tampered with. We’ve seen Ranboo be in an enderwalking state before without any triggers in other people’s streams, speaking in ender and fully aware of his surroundings. His white half is the one active during “daylight” or streaming hours while his ender half is active during “night” or during the white half’s sleep hours. 

c!Ranboo isn’t just sleepwalking, he’s going through the natural circadian cycles that his species goes through.

On the enderwalking arg

So. I hopefully won't do much on this because, as much as I love ARGs and I love the lore implications, an arg on top of everything is way too much for me to handle theorizing actively on.

So I'll probably put my two cents in occasionally, but not often.

So here's my main theory for now.

"a lot of you are wrong".

To me, my first thought was "what if it's what I've seen everyone think?"

The author/s of the note.

I've seen a lot of people on how many different people wrote on that note.

So what if it's not different people?

What if it's just ranboo looking into his enderwalking state when he's awake, figuring out something bad that makes him think he needs to stop it "do not let this happen multiple times", then, as he drifts into a middle stage (like we saw how he was slightly aware when he went to the disc confrontation scene) because of the stress the realisation has caused, he's conflicted ("good but depends on what has experienced" "could bee harmful"), and when he finally goes into the enderwalking state, it's trying to help him stay enderwalking. It's forcing him to stay in that state "don't figure out how to stop it".

The change in pen textures and fonts could be the different states conflicting with each other and/or forgetting where the original pens were when adding to the paper.

Any outside influence would surely replace the paper, but ranboo, in that state of panic and stress would either forget where the pens and paper are, "effects: memory", or just not care to change it.

I don't know. I doubt its true. But yeah. Just a thought.

It certainly is interesting, though.

Also. More than one person who can enderwalk, "as those who have experienced it"? We know the person writing is Ranboo, "do you not remember doomsday". Unless someone else in the dsmp at that point could also enderwalk and ranboo and them met.

If it was just ranboo, it would have probably been like "when we've walked before, it has shown it could be harmful".

Also, what time-frame is this in?

Future? Present? Past? And how far into those if not the present?

idea: what if enderwalking is a genetic trait that shows up later in life? 

diseases like Huntington Disease are genetic, but manifest when the person is older. these are called adult-onset disorders. 

now there's a bunch of causes involving mutations and genetic modifiers and gene accumulations, but there's a specific cause that involves having the trait at birth and only showing traits at adulthood. 

what i think the enderwallk most likely is a type of late-onset neurodegenerative disorder. it affects the cognitive control and memory, it impacts as well.

Enderwalking Theory

I need to get this off my chest, but Z is a particle. Hear me out. It makes more sense then Z being the other half or a scientist, is also explains how Z knows so much about enderwalking yet we don’t since Ranboo dosen’t stream about it. The particles (the canon version of his twitch chat)  can see Ranboo when he is enderwalking and they follow him around in that state, which explains why Z knows what Ranboo dose while enderwalking. (Yes, I am going to repeat myself a lot, deal with it.)

Z being a particle also makes sense from a meta perspective being that we also make long google docs storing all info we know about enderwalking. Z is also a nickname for a name we don’t know, this reflects on the fact that we use usernames, which are like nicknames if you think about it.

If anybody has something that goes against this theory, I would love to hear it.
