- The beginning is our end, darling. I could pick up a pen and write - the color of the ink does not matter because it just bleeds scarlet traces of the emotions my heart corrodes. These statues are hollow and crumble, but my, how they spell your name as they reach to the stars and seem to capture them. I could tell you I love you, but it is a moot point in the end. You've rooted too deeply within my heart and these words are stained of you. Roses linger on my tongue, and thorns tear at my throat, and it is such a beautiful torment. My fingers reach for you, and you linger so far away - the sun on the horizon's bend, the falling star soaring across the sky, the shore's cerulean wave that pulls away. You place in them a pen, and your fingers do not hold mine. It is a farewell, and I find myself faltering. I cannot breathe, but the point of the pen paints an arc across the page, erupting, and the ink blotch spells your name again. Darling, the end is our beginning -
