Apparently the Democrats won a special election in PA (Lancaster County) for a state Senate seat, in a district that had literally not gone blue at this level since 1889 and which Trump won in 2024 by 15 points.

Which is nice and all, etc etc yadda yadda, but it regretfully impels me to point out that people keeeeeeeep fuckin voting for Republicans, get mad as soon as Republicans do the exact stupid things they have promised to do, and then vote against them barely a few months later. It would be really beneficial for the rest of the country if we could have some goddamn object permanence and/or short-term memory, and this calculation could be made BEFORE you vote the assholes into office in the first place. Lord almighty.

Everyone (league/kids/Alfred/Gordon) has probably on some level and at some point, even if only briefly, has thought that Bruce was being too cautious or paranoid

And nearly each time Bruce has been proven right

But he's not smug about it because he doesn't want to be right he wants to be wrong

I'm learning and reminding myself every single day that I don't need to be uncomfortable and that I can make adjustments to make myself more comfortable. I am so used of being in constant distress and discomfort that I thought this was normal. Well, it's not! I don't need to suffer, I don't need to deny myself comfort. What I need is to create the most comfortable life possible for myself (this is so crucial when you have chronic pain).
