Jiyeon studied him carefully, watching each and every little detail: the way he moved, the way he spoke, even down to the way he looked at her or anything else. She wanted to make sure she handled each part of him with care and, since meeting him, she had learned that each side required different kinds of care, so putting her finger on which she was talking to was important, but she was still learning.
“Okay,” she said, her voice soft. Jiyeon took a quick glance around the room, nodding affirmatively, before she offered him her hand. “Let’s go sit, and then…” She put a finger to her cheek and hummed in thought, a sort of childish edge to her movements as though she was trying to make him smile. “Do you want to do anything?” she asked, pulling a smile to her face, “or do you need anything?”
