Thursday 6th February 2014(Tim’s Lesson)

  Today as our deadline was next week for our advert and the other people in my group for the mini documentary was filming their advert I continued with editing my Endommage advert, It was still way over time that it was meant to be so I kept cutting the shots to shorten the whole thing, Tim helped me sort the storyline out so the product would get shown way quicker and the whole advert would get down to 30 seconds, as well as doing that today I helped Tina and Jordan’s group do some of there advert as they were doing a fruit juice advert I brought in my smoothie maker so they could use that, I helped them with there lighting and setting up the camera, also as they had all the equipment and the main actor for my advert was in I took the photos for our poster which I was going to edit on photo shop, as they wanted to do a slow motion kind of advert they had to use a canon camera and Tim wanted to show everyone how to use it which I took pictures of after that I left them to and when back to editing my advert which I got down to 32 seconds and I think it looked a lot better but I still have loads to do which I am going to do Monday.

Thursday 30th January 2014 (Filming our advert)

  Normally today we would have had Tim’s lesson most of the day then film studies at 3 but today as we had all the equipment booked, the actors ready and the room available we filmed our Endommage advert as the deadline was quickly approaching, the day before today after I had finished Tanya’s lesson, I when home to start making our product the Endommage T shirt which on paper would be really hard as in our idea there was loads of creative ideas which would be really hard to make like the bandanna but with crafts shops and loads of my mums help we got it made and I was really proud of it, it had taken a lot of work, sewing changing things etc. but I think it looked really good seen as I am doing media not fashion on the day of filming I had a idea to add the bandana to the t shirt as that was what would make our product stand out so me and mum rushed to get that done to meet all the crew and actors in the room we had booked out but I got there in the end and everyone liked the t shirt.

  They had already started getting all the equipment out and setting it out to suit our advert and when I got there I helped do that ready for filming, I checked the camera and told the actors what they were doing, the day when quite well the idea did change a few times from the storyboard/treatment etc. but that was going to happen the day was quite crazy and hectic and I did end up having to do loads of job that wasn’t mind to do like directing all the actors and moving all the lighting/other equipment as there was so many people in the room it was hard to control and we did go a bit over time and I would have liked more time and less noise to get better shots but I think it when good enough and we got all the shots we needed for the advert and I think every one worked well enough to make this advert, after we put all the equipment back in the right place me and a few others when to Tim’s room to check the footage as we were only using the Nikon d5100 the quality wouldn’t be amazing and I wish now that we had booked out a different camera as the shots looked quite different on screen than they did on camera but they were good enough and we couldn’t film again so they would have to make do and we would just have to edit it using the best shots which we are doing next lesson.

Our advert for Endommagé is going to a party/music video vibe where an actor is at a posh party with all higher class people and is trying to fit in but after a while you see that he can’t do that so undoes his waistcoat and underneath you see the Endommagé t shirt with the legendary Endommagé Bandana hoodie which you can take off and he says the word Endommagé and suddenly everyone starts doing the same and everyone goes crazy because Endommagé has set them free.
