eyes as blue as her own , eyes she has not thought much of . ------ she’s had to survive , after all .
her mind decides to torment her that night , transporting her back to the ark . desperate pleas to spare her father , a good man , the best man . so kind with a heart bigger than anyone’s she’s ever known , who only wanted to do the right thing . his face just before being floated ------ so devoid of fear , full of love for his daughter . it conveyed words she could not hear , but understood nonetheless : stay strong .
please don’t leave me alone ------ just as words of woe are wailed in her nightmare , she feels a rude pull . and all at once , she’s startled back into the waking world , eagerly drinking in oxygen to shake off the vividness of the scene . panicked eyes fly to the speaker , her lover , her words slowly being understood . tears involuntary well in clarke’s eyes ; heart still racing . she can only nod to show she understands , and she shifts closer to find warmth to chase away the cold the dream has left her .
