Analytical Papers

So I'm in the process of writing a paper on engineering field comparisons and their relation to my goals and interests as a student.

The first question I was asked in the prompt was

"How do/did you know that [type of] Engineering was for you?"

I feel like I could write one sentence about my interest in Civil Engineering it would be enough.
