This time I am trying someone else's home brew. I am definitely feeling label envy 😁 Midwest Oat Brown English Ale. It has a nice sweetness with the creamy mouthfeel from the oat. It’s a risky business naming a brewery “Good Things Brewing Co”. If you go on to produce crappy beers people are bound to have questions. Mercifully that’s not an issue here; the 5.5% abv “Restoring Balance IPA” by @goodthingsbrewingco is a cracking, characterful ale made with Citra and El Dorado hops. Loads of tropical fruit and a slightly resinous character keep this interesting. It seems that it's a right time for a #VinylAndBeerSunday. Today, GEORGE HARRISON would have been 75 years old. So I thought it would a good time to spin what some consider the best solo album from THE BEATLES - and others consider one of the greatest albums of all time. I have featured this before - but I thought it would appropriate to relish in the wall of sound of this album. GEORGE's work has aged incredibly well - and it seems that every single tune on this album could have been a hit. I have accompanied tonight's celebration music with a favorite beer of mine from the United Kingdom. My family and I had the privilege of spending a number of summers in the Lake District of the UK at a summer camp on Coniston Water. The BLACK BULL PUB in Coniston serves you hand-pulled pints of BLUEBIRD BITTER from the CONISTON BREWING COMPANY.
