Day 3 of @eondineart 's #naturemythmarch ! Today's theme is Dragon/Snake. I decided to draw a Knucker, this is a water dragon primarily from the county of Sussex in the south of England. There are many stories about the Knuckers and legend has it that they reside in deep dark pools called a Knuckerhole, the most famous one being close to the village of Lyminster, but it was believed that they could be found in various places around Sussex. ... One version of the story revolves around a farmer boy names Jim. After the mayor of Arundel offered a reward to anyone who could kill the dragon, who was terrorizing the area and eating both livestock and villagers, Jim bakes a large poisoned pie which he took to the knuckerhole by horse and cart.
