jiji was the type to show up without a warning or invite himself over to your place. but when he showed up in the middle of the night at your place, panting from exhaustion, after having run all the way to your place, even you began to think that this wasn't usual for him.

“jiji, what are you doing he–”

“i can't stop thinking about you!”

jiji gave you no time to even finish your question. he didn't even have time to just walk to your place, so maybe you should've expected that he'd waste no time to get to the point.

“i can't think about anyone else but you. even when i try to forget about you, to just be your friend, you're still always on my mind. i can't hide it any longer, i can't pretend that i'm just joking around with you. i'm serious about this; i love you–!”

jiji was still panting as he finished speaking, leaning against the doorframe with one hand. you had never seen him like this before, so desperate and so vulnerable. you could tell this was important to him. you were important to him.

a soft smile hushed over your lips, as you looked at jiji. slowly, you reached out your hands, making jiji flinch for a second, before he leaned towards you, allowing you to gently cup his cheeks with your hands and get a closer look at him.

“you could've just told me any other time, you didn't need to pay me a visit in the middle of the night.” you teased, a grin on your lips. “but… i love you too, dummy. i thought you already knew that…”

“he, guess i am a dummy.” jiji grinned, taking a deep breath, as his breathing seemed to finally stabilize. “but… i could be your dummy, if you let me~?”

“are you asking me out right now~?” you teased, slowly leaning in closer and closer with each word. you were desperate to finally kiss jiji, but you couldn't pass up on a little more banter.

“i'm asking if you'll let me be your boyfriend.” jiji clarified. “and if you'll let me kiss y–”

you didn't let him finish that sentence, simply pulling jiji in closer and giving him that kiss that you both wanted to have so desperately. you could feel him smile against your lips during it, before pulling away and cheekily asking: “is that answer enough~?”

jiji chuckled, leaning in a little closer and whispering against your lips: “maybe i need just one more kiss to know for sure…”
