Hi! I have recently acquired a pet American toad. My roommate and I have talked about it a lot in the past, and she loves him! However, she wears perfume once every other day. I'm really worried about what that could do to the toad, esp when he eats his shed skin... do you think it's ok to ask her to spray her perfume in the bathroom instead of the bedroom?

Yeah deffo! He’s probably fine but it’s not something you really wanna risk- I’m sure if you’re nice about it and just point out that it’s for his safety, she’ll switch her spritzing to the bathroom! Good luck with your amphibious pal!

Hi! I've been trying for a while to find a reputable source from which to acquire a European green toad (Bufo viridis). The only places I can find are Backwater Reptiles and Reptile City. I do not trust them at all. Could you suggest a safe place to get herps? Thank you <3

I'm not familiar with the species so I'm not sure of any breeders but amphibians can be hard to find sometimes. Took me about a year to find a second barking tree frog and i've still yet to obtain a pobblebonk frog. Any of my followers know any good breeders to help out?

i just moved all the way from michigan to california for college

my favorite shows that aren't anime are parks and rec, orange is the new black, orphan black, and the walking dead

i play the flute and i'm auditioning for my school's wind ensemble soon

i'm actually really happy with my new college cheer team, i'm not uncomfortable around them at all! i got so lucky; it's either a hit or a miss when it comes to cheer teams (or just teams in general), but these girls are athletes that take this seriously so woohoo!!

succulent: what are some things which calm you down?

calming music, usually instrumental things. also the sound of rain. rain in general, actually. usually i can convince myself to take deep breaths, etc. but what really isn't helpful is when people start yelling at you to calm down and take deep breaths, like what do you think i'm trying to do haha.

i also distract myself with art or something. anything, honestly.
