well, thea is a middle character. usually ppl like her, independently of who they hate (felicity or laurel) but in liking her, they also seem to find it impossible not to shit on whoever they hate. 

you like laurel and want thea to her her accessory, but felicity is shit, these are all the reasons they should cut felicity’s screentime to add some more ot this relationship. you like felicity, and want thea as her accessory, but laurel i derailing the show she is so boring, i want less of her, its her fault felicity and thea have no screentime. (if they don’t want thea as an accessory but actually like thea, i wonder why they would use her to shit on some other character.)

I think she'd still be CEO of a tech company. I also think she and her mother are together in the same city and Lance is her stepdad much earlier and she has a steady male figure in her life in addition to a family.

voids to fill, basically. this is a strange game with felicity - what is it that she misses the most, what is it that she regrets the most? 

i think that dreamworld was built like walls around particular cracks in the minds of the dreamers. walls that drew from specific traumas - the freshest of them - as inspiration to keep them in. for sara it was laurel. 

for oliver it was laurel too - because of the guilt he feels for her death and for her being in love with him while he moved on. his parents too (there is a huge hole in my theory, meaning that I'm pretty sure that seeing felicity almost die in his arm is a pretty big one for oliver, along with the other people in his life he has seen die in front of him - and yet she was missing, but anyway) 

there will have to be different layers for felicity. the dream world we saw in the 100th episode was wide - in the sense that it was built a bit superficial, maybe with only so many triggers at a time, because there were so many of them in it simultaneously. for felicity, I'm gonna go for depth. layer by layer. 

because I'm bitter but also because its interesting. 

anyway, i can't believe I'm gonna do this again but this season is practically forcing my hand.

19. clint barton or oliver queen?

Knew I was going to get this one.  :-)  I know this might not make sense, but hear me out.  When it comes to comics Oliver?  OMG NO.  He is the worst.  Take Oliver from s1, without the killing, but turn the manwhoring and playboy ways up to 11 and eliminate the charm, and that’s pretty close to comics Oliver.  And on the other hand, you have Clint ‘Walking Human Disaster’ Barton, who is always getting attacked by bad guys when he’s naked and says things like “I’m great at boats!” and “Wait a sex--sec!”

Sooooo, yeah, I’m picking Clint in this one.

Felicity Smoak or Pepper Potts?

This one is harder, because I love them both.  And also, my knowledge of the comics versions of each one is almost nil, so I’m instead looking at their tv/movie versions.  And in this contest, it’s really Felicity.  

So there you have it: a split decision between Marvel and DC.  :-)

If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would be the first, second and third things you would do?

First thing: pay off all my bills.

Second thing: make sizable donations to charities like Planned Parenthood and the American Library Association.

Third thing: take a chunk and have a shopping spree.  

And if anything was left after that, I’d be investing it, making it grow so I wouldn’t have to work until I’m 75 years old.  :-)

Awwww, thank you!  I have to say, it’s been a fun challenge to translate Oliver and Felicity to the 1920s.  :-)

13.  hardest character to write

It varies--Felicity usually takes me more work to get into her headspace.  Also, Digg is someone I haven’t written very often, so that’s tough.

14. easiest character to write

Oliver.  Always Oliver.  :-)

48.  three spoilers for (insert story title)

Since you didn’t give me a story title, I will give you a spoiler from three different fics.  [grin]

Love is Red: Sunday’s chapter will feature my spin on the inspiration for this fic: a certain scene from Mindy Kaling’s second book.

OFBB fic: It’s currently nameless, but I can tell you that my @olicityficbang story is set in the 1920s.

Season 4.5 fic: I have a bunch of ideas that are coalescing around this, including that I will be using The Call by Regina Spektor as an inspiration for this one.
