OMG, would love to read the Oliver-sucks-in-bed post. :) I could DEFINITELY get behind Ollie sucked in bed because he was a selfish ass headcanon.
you know, this idea that past-oliver sucked cause of selfishness (of which there is considerable evidence in canon) wars in me with this idea i have that he was so popular with girls back then not because of his face, but because he was such an eager to please puppy.
i dont think he was the bad boy player - he was, imo, too spineless for that, as Slade so aptly put it. and that it wasn't about sleeping around as much as about an easy, uncomplicated shot of attention he’d be given from superficial acquaintances - versus the difficult relationship that he had with the people that were actually close to him and knew him. he wanted to be liked without complications, so he went on to find people that didnt know him well enough to know his potential, or to criticize him, or push him towards things he needed to do.
so logically that might extend to his skills in bed.
but there is also a deep lack of empathy in him when he was young, and that adds to the “bad lay ‘cause of selfishness” theory.
idk what to think, to be honest im open to both and perhaps he was both.
