Can we stop spreading that one myth about these guys? You know the one. The old “harvestmen/daddy long-legs are the most venomous spiders in the world but they can’t hurt you because their jaws can’t pierce human skin.” Not only are they NOT the most venomous spiders in the world, they literally don’t possess venom glands. These dudes are completely harmless so let’s please stop spreading this nonsense.
Fun mail day 🙌. Whoa! Thank you @thecabochoncowboy both stones are beautiful. . . . . . #jurassicpark #jurassicworld #amber #fossilizedamber #perfectlycut #lapidary #lapidaryartist #lapidaryart #bug #entimology #entimologist #buginamber
1. Exchange. When did we really talk? Like talk by way of looking and exchange signs by way of talking: a chestnut and a wooden ball for a peg and a metal ring. A peg and a metal ring for a chip of green tile with an ornament on it, a piece of solenite, a white stone with lots of hard edges, and a bigger white stone rounded by the sea. A chip of green tile with an ornament on it, a piece of solenite, a white stone with lots of hard edges and a bigger white stone rounded by the sea for a ball made of transparent green plastic and a white ribbon with “Dior” written on it eleven times. You stare off into space. The words we said to each other could not become a dialog when they were simply overheard or answered by the other one of us. And when we thought we didn’t mean to hear the words could we say we didn’t talk? More data, less meaning. More data, less pleasure. We failed to talk, we got annoyed and we started all over again. Maybe, we got annoyed because we didn’t know how to respond. Sometimes we thought that we could only talk by talking backwards, although we knew that even our silence was ever eloquent.
2. Changing path. ~ 5 min ~
3. Noise. We smile reflecting atoms, which were never ours. The ones emitted from your body were mine, previously, - and now they are back. A cricket, firefly, a moth – and us. We’re something symbiogenetic. Or our bodies breath and talk by way of breathing? Was it the channel that brought about the alteration? Was there any meaning in the end? Words that we exchanged were always inevitably corrupted, but we were never distracted by it. We guessed, the carrier created meaning of its own, but we didn’t really care. Were you under control? Was I under control? Was any control even possible? Something was telling us, it wasn’t.
4. Borrowing Could we keep silent? Was there even need to talk? Wasn’t the meaning contained – inexpressibly! - in the already expressed? If we desire to talk, the words we borrowed were not enough, because those words got their meanings not from us, but others, - and their situations. Once we learned we couldn’t borrow anymore, we had stopped imagining by naming things around us, and through doing it, we rendered them stale, straightforward, tired, flat and maybe a little banal.
5. Becoming insects We were playing with the idea of becoming insects, something virtual, unreal, tarrying with the ghostly. It was new to us. We knew though that the language will always be there, a parasite, - it colonized our minds in order to reproduce. A language, as symbolic means, has created an alliance, an obligation and a promise, a social contract, translating what we did to what we thought. No longer it was about: Who are we? But, - Who are you? And: Who are you?
6. Talking We could create a new language made of physical words, not abstract. Three words should be enough, we thought, for soft inheritance. If I could find myself in you,- and you find yourself in me, too, - we could finally talk. So did we talk? I’m signing in right now, not ticking on ‘remember me’. We talked with light, sound, revealing and hiding. We only had a chance to speak if we could recognize each other, among this light, sound, and movement. When could I see myself in me and you, yourself in you? Was that the moment to unfollow? We only didn’t because we were afraid that we won’t find each other again. You never minded, I failed, and you failed better. We tried again. Hiding and revealing appeared to be easier than we expected. Cause when we looked around, we found meanings in all things constantly hiding and revealing themselves: a ball made of transparent green plastic and a white ribbon with “Dior” written on it eleven times as a chip of green tile with an ornament on it, a piece of solenite, a white stone with lots of hard edges and a bigger white stone rounded by the sea. A chip of green tile with an ornament on it, a piece of solenite, a white stone with lots of hard edges and a bigger white stone rounded by the sea as a peg and a metal ring. A peg and a metal ring as a chestnut and a wooden ball. Besides, we already had in our bodies the beginning of any language. Produce, store, transmit signs. Knowing without knowing, wanting without wanting to do anything. Was it us who was talking? We found that a new language required also a new network. But did we really talk? We hoped, we did.
