Born to weld, forced to dwell (in the basement)
Summer break is here, and you know what that means....JOB SEARCH HELL!!!!!!!
I went to trade school thinking once I completed the 1-2 years of classes, I'd be matched with an apprenticeship program that would take me in right away. Welders are in demand, right?
Boy was I wrong.
This may be my second summer in a row of poring over Indeed, failing at interviews, and feeling like a stinky neckbeard living with my parents at age 27 (as of 2026).
Unless....I fight.
Fight the despair, the hopelessness, the helplessness.
Realize the job search is a job in itself that takes heaps of patience and persistence.
Tailor each resume. They are your weapons in this dystopian hell.
Research companies, see how they align with your interests.
But most importantly, remember to love yourself.
