This dialogue from the OVA is making me sick, sick, sick (but in a good way) because Guildias has never, not once, seen Guys as anything but a shadow of Myuca he can play pretend with (and a scapegoat he needs to keep in check),
but here, in this dialogue with no in-game counterpart, there’s this implication that if Guys can make Guildias forget about Myuca for just one moment, just one, then he’ll finally see Guys as himself, and that’s literally all I wanted. He can be your new Myuca if you just train him, Guildias. Give him the carrot, and not just the stick.
Throwback Thursday > Enzai Fan Disc [Comiket 64, 2003]
Wow, this one really is a throwback, huh? I finally found a copy of this over 20 (!) year old fan disc & had a really fun time working on this project! This was one of those discs I would always see pictures of floating around online back in the day, so it was somewhat surreal to actually see it in person after all these years. It surprisingly has a lot more content than I was expecting & even included some images that were totally new to me! I’m also happy to report that just about everything should still work on Windows 11.
Special thanks to Amu-Bun for their helpful insights regarding the calendar widget — you can check out their YouTube channel for more Enzai-related content, including a few videos that cover the contents of this fan disc. I wrote up a guide for the widget since I know some other folks out there ran into trouble while attempting to install it — it’s been included in the calendar subfolder in case you’re struggling to get it running.
Package details & link are under the cut, or you can click here for a static page.

Can we talk about how fucked up old yaoi anime was? I just reblogged an Ai no Klusabi post and I had some disturbing flashbacks with other anime.
I think I must have been around 15 when I discovered yaoi and I made a aarinfantasy account (does anyone here remember that site?!) and downloaded all sorts of weird anime.
From the pedo Boku no Pico and the whole series, to the rapey Okane ga Nai or Ai no Kusabi... or Enzai. Do any of you remember the last one? I’m sorry if you do. I still vividly remember some scenes. God knows how I managed to become a well rounded adult having watched that, lol.
I remember watching Maden Rose and thinking how beautifully it was drawn, but I didn’t really understand then how bad the rape scenes were. Ugh.
I need a blanket.
That being said, I love the new type of wholesome yaoi anime that is coming out, like Given or Yuri on Ice, but I feel like they’re mostly shonen-ai and the intimacy was erased for our sensibilities. I’m not saying to do Sensitive Pornograph grade sex scenes, but you know... something could be nice.
