Pairing these up together because despite everything — the promise they make, and the seasons they spend together — Sabo’s connection with Luffy is shallow. Hazy. A half-remembered past that can’t compete with Ace’s years-long presence.

There are three versions of Reunion (the one where Sabo vomits, the one where he’s a crotch-sniffer, and the one where Robin claps at two brothers making out), so I’ve been trying to find a way to combine all of them.

My favorite idea so far is having the fic open with a new scene of Koala knocking Sabo out. Because it would be funny.
