Throwback Thursday > Enzai Fan Disc [Comiket 64, 2003]
Wow, this one really is a throwback, huh? I finally found a copy of this over 20 (!) year old fan disc & had a really fun time working on this project! This was one of those discs I would always see pictures of floating around online back in the day, so it was somewhat surreal to actually see it in person after all these years. It surprisingly has a lot more content than I was expecting & even included some images that were totally new to me! I’m also happy to report that just about everything should still work on Windows 11.
Special thanks to Amu-Bun for their helpful insights regarding the calendar widget — you can check out their YouTube channel for more Enzai-related content, including a few videos that cover the contents of this fan disc. I wrote up a guide for the widget since I know some other folks out there ran into trouble while attempting to install it — it’s been included in the calendar subfolder in case you’re struggling to get it running.
Package details & link are under the cut, or you can click here for a static page.

How about a fic where Maxwell tells Drake he knows where Savannah is/why she left?
Sure thin)!!!
Prompt: send me prompts/pairing while I’m on my heavy ass anxiety meds to see what is produced (so far Barney has been mentioned and I’ve had like several words in different languages cu x idk! Prompt: maxwell tells drake why savanna left and drake is a big sad cat about Pairings: none really? But featuring maxwell and drake and possibly savanna
It was a cold night and the coordination was just two days away. Drake roped maxwell into drinking with him to get his mind off of lossing his best friends. Maxwell agreed but didntr realize how much drunk he would get. As the night for longer, the whiskey bottle was nearly empty but maxwell knew he should stop be he didn’t. Obviously. Drake and maxwel stunned through the house waking the mice up was they truest to find vodka or even better, more whiskey. They stumbled upon some and opened it right way and sat on the kitchen floor taking swings of it. “If only my savanna would see me now,” he said after a swing and he sipped his face from the droplets all over him. “Sucks cuz I don’t know where she is”Maxwelll held it a giggle and drake raised his eyebrow at his giggly and drunk fried. “Marie?” He asked him but maxwell couldn’t handle it and decided to tel him what was up “I know where Savanna is” he blurted our, laughed as he did so “You what? Where is she???” Drake stood up and took the bottle away from maxwell and tried to get him to done up so he could tell him the truth. “Okay okay. So I actually helped savanna pack when she left. She was in tears and she was like a sista to me so I decided to see what was wrong. It was tres horric! She was crying and thoring clothings into her bags and she polyr whisked in there. So I asked what was wrong and she said she didn’t fit in and that Olivia had been giving her shots and humor the rest of the. Courrrt. She was pissed bruh. So I helped her. Ack and I asked where she was going but she didn’t have a plan. So I left hr leave thinking she’d o me back with a dog or something like a bear. A week passes and I get a letter in the Mali from her. She told me I could visit her but she’s with the Russian spies and they’re spying on America and the whole Olivia thing was just trick everyone. So she’s a government spy with Russia and she loves me.”Drake took a moment to collect his thoughts. His sister was a national spy for a country who’s leader dude looks like a rat and loves trump? Drake was so confused. He wasn’t sure how that could happen. “Well hon hon baguette” he muttered out shaking his head. “She told me she’d be out in a few years and would love to explain it to you in person. But I guess she trust mui and not youuuuu suckaaas” they both shared a laugh and the mystery of why savanna could no longer be around anyone was because she was a Russian spy. Expect, maybe she was in the same room with them all along, they just didn’t know it
Kagami: I bet you practiced that shot a ton, right?
Takao: Well, yeah. But really, Shin-chan’s shots are always textbook-perfect, so it was really just a matter of my skills being able to keep up or not.
Midorima: That wasn’t the only matter, idiot.
Kuroko: That’s right. Of course I was surprised at Takao-kun’s level of technique, but I was more surprised that Midorima-kun would perform such a move during a game.
Kise: Right!? For Midorimacchi to make a shot he wasn’t sure he could make or not…
Kuroko: It must have been because Midorima-kun has studied Takao-kun’s passes so carefully that he could believe in him and make the shot, don’t you think?
Midorima: mph
Takao: Thanks for believing in me, Shin-chan.
Midorima: It—it’s only natural to believe in one’s teammate!
Takao: Yeah, yeah…
Mibuchi: Midorima-kun and Takao-kun are a pretty good pair all the time, aren’t they?
Kise: No kidding! Never would have thought Midorimacchi would find a parter so perfect!
Midorima: Shut up, Kise!
Kise: Just me!?
Hello everyone. Several notes before I get into it.
1. I have no idea if a translation has already been done, so bear with me.
2. I am not a native or fluent Japanese speaker. I can barely read hiragana, and I had to do this with a dictionary and guesswork. So bear with me.
3. I find Takao’s and Kise’s speech really hard to understand, so there are gaps or mistakes. So bear with me.
Oshaberi Shiyou ka?
Kagami: Let’s see…One large Cola and twelve cheesburgers, please.
Takao: Huh?! A dozen burgers?
Kuroko: That’s right Kagami-kun. That won’t be enough.
Takao: Eh, really?!
Midorima: Just to what extent are you going to eat?
Mibuchi: Everyone! Over here!
Takao: Mibuchi-san! What’s up?
Kuroko: Good day to you.
Kagami: Isn’t something off about this…like Akashi in Maji Burger.
Akashi: Is that so?
Midorima: Where are the others?
Akashi: Murasakibara contacted me to say he would be late. Himuro-san is with him.
Kagami: Tatsuya’s coming too?
Kuroko: I called Aomine-kun earlier, but he didn’t pick up.
Takao: Hmm…let’s see. That leaves…
Kise: Everyone! Hellooooo!
Group: Huh?
Kise: Sorry, sorry, did I keep you waiting? I’ve been shooting since morning. Ah, my second photobook is out. Good thing everyone is…
Akashi: This burger is delicious.
Mibuchi: It is.
Kise: How unfair!
Midorima: So, Akashi, what is the purpose of this meeting?
Kise: I was really surprised when you called us to meet.
Kuroko: Not to mention, to the same Maji Burger as before?
Kagami: Like before? (I don’t entirely know what this is, but Kagami says something to Akashi like, “you knew about Maji Burger?”)
Akashi: There was no major reason. The previous time and the time before that, I heard it was at Maji Burger. I thought it would be best to meet at the same place.
Kagami: Last time?
Mibuchi: Sei-chan, since there might be newcomers, it would be better to start from the beginning.
Akashi: You have a point. Then, everyone…Let’s chat. (LOOOOOL SEI-CHAN)
Kagami: Just now, what did he say?
Kise: What does he mean by chat? What has gotten into Akashicchi?
Midorima: I don’t understand the meaning of this.
Kise: …say, Akashicchi, did you call everyone here to just chat?
Akashi: (says the equivalent of) Yes. I wanted to do what we couldn’t do in the main story.
Kagami: It’s developing like that terrible idea our school had…Don’t tell me, it’s possibly…that?
Kuroko: Not possibly, it is that.
Akashi: Last time, I couldn’t appear directly (in the episode). I felt a bit envious.
Mibuchi: And since they were all concentrating on the rivalry at the Winter Cup, we didn’t get to talk to the other schools. When I heard from Sei-chan, I really wanted to participate too!
Kuroko: (not entirely sure, but something like) Akashi-kun, could it be that you were waiting for this third fandisk?
Akashi: Yes, I see. You can talk about anything in a fandisk.
Kagami: That’s why, there’s no such rule!
SHALL WE CHAT
Akashi: Then, shall we start? Mibuchi, please go ahead.
Mibuchi: Yes, leave it to me. Today, we will continue from the memories of the last chat. It’s the Winter Cup’s quarterfinal match between Kaijo and Fukuda Sogo.
(hoooooonk noise)
Kise: Oh, I’m the main star in this one.
Kagami: Are we really going to do it like this again?
Kuroko: Just accept it, Kagami-kun.
Mibuchi: There’s a teammate in Fukuda Sogo from your middle school days, right, Sei-chan?
Akashi: Yes. That’s Haizaki. (not sure again here, but) After quitting three years ago, he’s back as a regular.
Midorima: It is surprising that such a person would return to basketball.
Akashi: (I did not get this bit, sorry)
Kise: (I’m guessing the first bit) I wouldn’t want to change anything. There’s no point in playing against a weak opponent.
Mibuchi: Kise-kun and Haizaki-kun even play the same position, yes?
Takao: That’s right, Haizaki’s special ability is also copying.
Midorima: To be exact, Haizaku doesn’t just copy. He steals the technique. The person who has their skill stolen becomes disturbed by his change of pace and weakens.
Kise: It’s harsh…What am I even saying?
Takao: Heh? Was that really Kuroko just now?
Kuroko: I was yelling to get his attention…
Kagami: That really was surprising. You do some unexpected things sometimes.
Kise: But it made me so super happy! It woke me up.
Kagami: But how did you hear Kuroko from the stands in a full stadium?
Kise: ! That was…intuition!
Kagami: Huh? (not so clear) Don’t tell me you couldn’t actually see anything?
Kise: Of course I knew it was Kurokocchi.
Kagami: But you just-
Kise: Thanks, Kurokocchi.
Kuroko: I’m glad I could help.
Kuroko: Oh, it’s Aomine-kun calling. Hello?
Aomine: Oh, Tetsu. Did you call?
Kuroko: Yes. It was about the meeting.
Aomine: Maji Bur- Ah, crap.
Kuroko: Did you forget about it?
Aomine: Nah, I remembered it till yesterday. Then the shock made me forget.
Kuroko: Are you feeling sick? Is everything alright?
Aomine: Ah, it’s settled down now. For now, I’ll head over.
Kuroko: …okay.
Akashi: Is he coming?
Kuroko: Yes. He was not feeling well. Apparently he’s better and he’s coming here.
Midorima: It’s unusual for Aomine to be in poor health.
Kagami: (gleefully) He probably ate something strange!
Mibuchi: Moving on. Next is the second semi-final match – us Rakuzan against Midorima-kun and the rest from Shutoku.
Kise: Takao-kun, how did it feel to be matched up against Akashicchi?
(from here on, most of Takao’s dialogue is guesswork)
Takao: After hearing about him, I was excited to play against him.
Kise: (makes noises of agreement)
Takao: The beginning was the match was fine and then…(something along the lines of) it felt like he was toying with us.
Akashi: That’s not it at all. (more guessing here) Rather than underestimate the new team balance Midorima has now, I was observing.
Midorima: A wait-and-see approach, in other words.
Akashi: (more blurriness, I’m sorry) The third years form a strong inside, and Midorima moves to his special outside attacks. It (the play) was skilful and determined.
Takao: (I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HE SAYS HERE. Something like “it’s more praise than I thought”?)
Midorima: Are you trying to complicate our situation as losers? (or some such)
Akashi: But that coordinated shot really took me by surprise.
Mibuchi: That’s right. Midorima-kun moving into shooting form without a ball, it almost sounds like a joke.
Kagami: You must have had to practice that a lot, yeah?
Takao: Well, yeah. Anyway, Shin-chan’s shooting pattern never changes. The question was how I would catch-up with my skills.
Midorima: It wasn’t just your problem. Idiot.
Kuroko: That is true. Takao-kun’s skill was amazing, but the Midorima-kun who used it in a match was even more surprising.
Kise: We know that! Midorima only shoots when it’s certain.
Kuroko: Midorima-kun’s method, and Takao-kun’s passess, they became a trustworthy weapon (or pair), isn’t it so?
Midorima: …yes.
Takao: Thanks for trusting me, Shin-chan. (There’s a pun there that doesn’t translate well)
Midorima: (ever the green tsundere) Tch. It’s a given that you would trust your teammate!
Takao: Sure, sure.
Mibuchi: Midorima-kun and Takao-kun, a good combination, as usual.
Kise: Really, Midorimacchi has such a close partner.
Midorima: Shut up, Kise.
Kise: Why just me?!
(drumroll, the purple Titan arrives)
Mukkun: Ah. Found Aka-chin and the rest.
Akashi: Murasakibara. We’ve been waiting for you. My, you’ve ordered a considerable amount again.
Mukkun: Eh? I can have at least this much, right?
Himuro: (pops out like a bunny) We took longer to get here than I thought.
Kagami: Tatsuya! I was waiting to see you.
Mukkun: So, why did you call us? And what’s with this cast (of people)?
Midorima: So you also came here without knowing the reason.
Takao: All the way from Akita?! Isn’t that too carefree?
Mukkun: Well, it is Aka-chin. (that explains everything, yep)
Takao: What’s with that reasoning?
Himuro: I heard everyone was gathering, but what was the intention?
(cue best scene ever)
Akashi: To have a chat.
Yosen: Eh?
Akashi: It was for a chat.
Yosen: Uh…
Akashi: It’s a chat.
Takao: Oh my god, Akashi is hilarious.
Mibuchi: Everyone was reminiscing about the Winter Cup. As you do in the fandisk.
Mukkun: Hmm? Didn’t that happen a while ago too?
Kuroko: Yes. Last time, I was the one who organized it. That time, there was a phone call to Murasakibara-kun.
Mukkun: Ah, it was that time.
Himuro: Fandisk? So that’s what it is, a fandisk!
Kagami: What is it, Tatsuya? You know about the fandisk?
Himuro: Yep! Fandisk is when anything goes! (echoes as Himuro goes into rainbow pony mode)
Akashi: (happy someone gets it) That is correct, Himuro-san.
Kagami: Himuro, what’s gotten into you too? (something like) Akashi, stop deluding him!
Mukkun: As hotblooded as always, Kagami. If Aka-chin wants to do it, whatever is fine, isn’t it?
Kagami: Why are you making me out as a troublemaker? Also, Tatsuya, till when are you going to do that?!
Kuroko: Just give in, Kagami-kun.
Mibuchi: Hai, hai! Let’s get back to the discussion. The other semi-final match, Kaijo vs. Seirin!
Kuroko: I never thought you’d start using Perfect Copy from the very beginning.
Kise: Ever since losing in the practice match, we were waiting to play Seirin in a formal match. You can’t be stingy in a revenge match.
Kuroko: Actually, we had also planned to take the lead back then.
Kagami: What is that called… (leaving this in as Japanese because this genuinely has no meaning) hana oreta? Hana o…kashirareta?
Akashi: (ever helpful) Debana o kujikareta, (to have the wind taken out of your sails) isn’t it?
Kagami: Oh, that, that!
Kuroko: Kagami-kun. Please work harder at Japanese.
Kagami: Erk!
Himuro: Perfect Copy. A truly terrifying ability. Within a time limit, being able to transform into all of the Miracles and the opponents.
Mukkun: Kise-chin, you imitated my ability without permission. I want compensation.
Kise: I have to repay you?!
Mukkun: I can accept a year’s supply of maiubo in payment.
Kise: That’s…
Takao: In the case, red bean soup for Shin-chan.
Midorima: Right.
Kise: Wait a sec-
Mibuchi: Sei-chan, what do you want? Tofu soup for a year?
Akashi: Should we do it like that then?
Kise: Even Akashicchi! Everyone is so mean!
Kagami: Somehow, copying is difficult, huh.
Kise: That isn’t a great opinion either.
Kagami: Ah, no. I meant to say that though you give the feeling of a skilled player, to copy the Miracles is not an easy task.
(Kagami says jisai kiseki no yatsura here. The only meaning I could find for the adjective jisai was acolyte. If someone wants to explain it to me, please, I’d be grateful.)
Kise: Huh?
Kuroko: Even during the practice match, there was no match for the strength of Kaijo’s Kise-kun.
Kise: (I’m as touched as he is) Kurokocchi, Kagamicchi…
Kagami: Even though we survived with Kuroko’s strategy this time, we will show we can stop it perfectly next time, your Perfect Copy!
Kise: That’s my line. I definitely won’t lose next time!
Aomine: I’m late, my bad.
Kuroko: Aomine-kun!
Akashi: I heard you weren’t feeling well. Are you alright?
Aomine: Yeah, somewhat.
Midorima: Did you catch a cold?
Aomine: No, it was Satsuki.
Kise: Momocchi?
Aomine: …well…it’s Valentine’s soon, so obligatory chocolates…
Kise, Midorima, Akashi and Mukkun: AHHH.
Aomine: So, Tetsu, good luck.
Kuroko: Eh.
Kise: Kurokocchi, fighting!
Midorima: My condolences.
Mibuchi: Practicing for obligatory chocolates, huh? Hmm, I want to try this year too. If I give them to you, will you accept them, Sei-chan?
Akashi: Of course. I look forward to it. (OMG SOMEBODY STOP THIS ORESHI, HE’S A MARSHMALLOW)
Mibuchi: Really? Then, I’ll do my best!
Takao: Himuro-san must also get a ton of chocolates, right? When you open your shoe locker, it’s like ta-dah!
Himuro: It’s not like a manga or anything.
Takao: Now, now. You’re definitely popular.
(Takao says waza waza in the first half, which is hard for me to interpret here. It means to deliberately do something, so he’s kind of implying that Himuro is being modest, methinks.)
Himuro: Since Valentine’s Day in Japan is an event where you give sweets, Atsushi is more popular than me. He receives it with pleasure.
Mukkun: (drooling) Yeah, I love Valentine’s Day. I wish everyday could be Valentine’s Day. Ah, but Halloween is good too.
Takao: (HIS ACCENT IS BACK, WHY ME, IT’S ALL GIBBERISH) ...it’s not good either way.
Mibuchi: There! With Aomine-kun’s arrival, everyone is here. We’re going to recap the finals now!
Aomine: What’s this? It’s not my match?
Kuroko: Since Aomine-kun didn’t get to the finals…
Mibuchi: In honesty, this match alone made us experience various emotions. Sei-chan’s anxiety and irritation at missing (his shots), it can’t be experienced again.
Akashi: Since I was leading, I should have realized you would all be affected by my wavering resolve. I apologize.
Mibuchi: Ah! But you know, more than that, Sei-chan’s passes in the last half felt so good, I was really happy. As someone who was able to ensure the perfect shot, Kotarou and Eikichi, even Mayuzumi-san, I’m sure they felt that way.
Midorima: This is the Team Zone state, is it?
Kise: Being able to bring all the team members into a zone condition with the best passes is amazing. That’s Akashicchi for you!
Akashi: No. It was a place I would never have reached by myself. After facing him, I became resolved.
Kise: Uh?
Akashi: And then, it only went well because Mibuchi and the others were so accepting.
Mibuchi: Sei-chan!
Takao: Speaking of which, Seirin too, in a way, were playing in an all-team zone.
Aomine: What about you, Kagami?
Kagami: Err…I’m not smart like Akashi…it wasn’t deliberate.
Aomine: We know that you’re an idiot.
Kagami: What did you say?!
Aomine: The doors to the zone don’t appear when you think with your head. And to unlock another door…
Kagami: Just when I was thinking I couldn’t do it anymore, hearing Kaijo cheer for us, it made me energetic again. And then, I saw Kuroko in front of the door. (less clear bit) The door I couldn’t budge myself (???), I could open together with Kuroko. On the other side, there was everyone from Seirin!
Mukkun: I still don’t know what’s so great about this.
Himuro: Atsushi, shush.
Kagami: That’s why, that zone wasn’t just me…Argh! I can’t explain this well!
Aomine: You believed in them till the end. Your team and your partner.
Kagami: Huh?
Aomine: Only an extreme simpleton like you could have done it.
Kagami: Tch. Somehow that felt like a backhanded expression…
Kise: Aominecchi is really not honest, ne?
Aomine: (dunno what it means, but we can guess) Shut up, Kise!
Akashi: You found a good partner, Kuroko.
Kuroko: Because Kagami-kun was there, I was able to play my basketball.
Akashi: This time your basketball…your team’s basketball, may have won, but we won’t lose next time.
Kuroko: Yes. We want to compete against you (Akashi’s team) again.
Akashi: By the way, Kuroko…how does one end something like this?
Kuroko: Ah, that’s right. Here…
Akashi: Oh, I see.
Akashi: Then, everyone.
Everyone: Huh?
Akashi: The Winter Cup recap ends here. But there’s still time left in the day. Shall we play street basketball together?
Collective cheers of agreement and my own collapse.
