i just wanted to say thank you for how you talk about north american and especially floridian wildlife. i feel like north american animals tend to get written off as "boring" and floridian wildlife in particular is usually memed on in a way that's kind of mean. but the love you have for florida's ecosystem is so palpable and it makes me so happy to see somebody love the floridian ecosystem for the wonder that it is. that's all
Thank you so much for this, what a lovely ask 🥹
My home state (like many people’s homelands) is on the frontlines of hundreds of conservation battles. Giving up and surrendering doesn’t just mean we’ve lost, it means that all the Anastasia beach mouse habitat that exists nowhere else in the world is now just another country clubs or golf course. Nothing is more important to me than helping folks learn about the nature they live in, so they realize what will be lost if it’s taken from us.
