Jesus is...

On Saturday I’ve been to the EO Youth Day, this is a day for Christian Youth in The Netherlands, and it was very inspiring really. I am a proud Christian myself, and at this day American artist Eric Samuel Timm was at this day and he told something very inspiring, whether you are a Christian or not. He preached the following thing;

“We are breathing for a couple of reasons, one reason we don’t usually think about, it rains, all over the world, water from the heavens fall, without rain life on this earth wouldn’t be possible, rain in a sense is liquid life, falling to the ground, it rains. So in a sense you breathe because it rains, however have you ever have life take your breath away. Rain is essential for life, but some of us face a different kind of rain, have you ever faced rain in life so thick you can’t breathe? Your breathe is gone because the rain in your life is so thick. We can go through the alphabet to find the rain in your life. In this last year or maybe in this moment it is storming like that in your life. It happens to us all, we all face rain, we all feel pain. We can’t control it, sometime we choose it, we cannot fully control the rain, but we can control where the rain does not fall, but for that you need a covering, you need a shelter, you need an umbrella, and every single person in Jesus has found this shelter, has found this umbrella. One truth about who Jesus is, not was who Jesus is. For anyone facing death, for anyone who is facing the rain.

‘John 1: 29 Jesus is the lamb’

Jesus is like a red umbrella and in Jesus you can be under that umbrella, because Jesus is, Jesus is, Jesus is an umbrella, Jesus is that covering, Jesus is a shelter, Jesus is like this for you, this is one truth about many truths, Jesus is life like an umbrella. the question is; what is rain in your life, fear, depression, sickness.

Maybe you have storms but what can they be, what are they now? Jesus can be that shelter. This is what Jesus is, hold the umbrella high for your family because this is what Jesus is, that faith in Jesus will not make things easy but it will make walking through the rain possible, do you not now, have you not heard that Jesus is the everlasting God, he gives strength. But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will make it through the rain, because the covering, the covering of your family Jesus is.

JESUS IS !”
