Hey Jeff how was it meeting EOS?
Scratching his chin for a moment, Jeff's thoughts turned to the Artificial Intelligence that his middle son had unintentionally created. It had been a bit of a rocky start, his relationship towards the AI, after finding out what it... She, did to John, Jeff had been furious, for all of 5 minutes.
Sighing, Jeff began his answer, “You know, if someone had asked me before my accident which of my sons would have had a child first, John would have been near the bottom of the list.”
Carefully choosing his next words, Jeff wanted to be annoyed at EOS but found himself struggling. “Y’know, when I found out about EOS the first thing I heard was when the words ‘So you missed Johnny over there almost being killed by the AI he created’ came outta Gordon’s mouth on the journey home.”
“I must admit I was a little distracted at the time, having just been reunited with my sons after 8 years of being alone in space, and Gordon speaking on and on at 100 miles an hour trying to fill me in on everything. But when I got home I had a sit down with John, and he explained everything I found myself relieved that John wasn’t all alone up there on Five. One of the things I had worried about was John being alone, but I know now that he isn’t.”
Jeff smiled sadly, “It took all that I had not to forcefully remove EOS from Five’s systems, and the Island servers, but John made me look at it from a different perspective.” He’s always had a way of doing that, John, so much like his late mother he was able to make Jeff see things in a different light.
“I guess you could say I met EOS for the first time the other day, I went up to see the old ‘bird, and how she’s been doing under John’s care. Not that anything would be wrong with her, but I worry about the safety of all my boys. EOS was wary of me at first, as I was of her, but I think it went okay.”
“She threw a bagel at me!” Jeff laughed.
I drew two characters from my story. Kinda fucked up the bottom one lol
this didn’t really turn out the way I wanted but it still came out good and it was way to experiment with monochrome colors and shadings. I still have a long way to go but this is good :v
