The Truth
Pairing: EoWells+Daughter!reader
Summary: [Y/N] Wells goes to talk to EoWells while he’s being kept prisoner in the pipeline.
Entering the pipeline had been an all-day back-and-forth for her, and now that the rest of the team was busy trying to figure out what to do with him, [Y/N] had decided to face the man who took her father’s identity. “I was wondering when you’d show up,” he smirks, a look she had only seen a few times, one that she knew now was solely Thawne. She froze, her small courage faltering. Tears threatened her, but she knew that this was not the time, no weakness, not for him, not anymore. “Tell me why.” “Convenience,” He replied, knowing what she really wanted. “He was a person, and you were just okay with taking everything?” “It was necessary for me to return to my time.” He reasoned. “He had a wife!” She shouts. “Who died-“ He begins “Bullshit” She interrupts “Language,” He chides “Go to Hell.” She yells “Already there.” He quips in return “You killed them both, you killed my mother and father in cold blood," [Y/N] exhales in frustration, before trying to take a calming breath "so why not me?” “I had to wait a few years between your mother’s death and killing you.” “But you never-“ she countered “Because as much as you may deny it, I love you,” he snaps, then taking his own calming breath he continues “I grew attached. And up until the past week or so you didn’t suspect anything until you knew what you assume is the truth, you knew me to be your father.” He tells her, the two just hold eye contact, [Y/N] looking for any of his tells, but there were none to be found. She finally speaks again, “Well the truth is you’re not my father.” “Is that really the truth?” He questions. “Of course it is.” She holds firm “You’re thinking too simply” He counters “Who raised you?” she doesn’t reply. “Well go on, we really don’t have all day.” “You-“ tears are threatening again but letting them come would give him exactly what he wants. “Exactly, you and I are family [Y/N], and whether you like it or not you care about me.” He tells her. “You’re right,” she tells him. “But you could have done things differently, you didn’t need to kill anyone to get Barry his powers, you could have helped my parents-“ “And what fun would that be?” he cuts her off. “And your father never would have allowed the particle accelerator to go off without being 100% certain it wouldn’t hurt anyone.” She just looks at him formulating what to say, “Why did you make sure I was safe during the initial explosion? I mean it would have solved a lot of your problems, I could have died and you could have continued this charade longer.” “Unfortunately my feelings got in the way.” He sighs, “ I saw all the memories your father had of you, your birth, the first time you walked, events like that. Some instinct made me protect you, if something happened to you I’d be lost [Y/N]. So I’m proposing this to you, come with me, back to the future. We can be a family there, a father-daughter duo like we’ve always talked-” “No.” She cuts him off, “Why would I go with you? My life is here,” She tells him “I have friends here, I have roots-“ “You’re brilliant [Y/N]!” He shouts, “You’re being wasted here, you’re just moral support as far as team Flash is concerned. Together you and I could do anything!” “I don’t care what you think, I’m not going! I wouldn’t go anywhere with you!” She shouts back. “Why don’t you understand that I no longer trust you! You’ve lied to me my entire life, you killed my parents, took my father’s place! And you want me to trust you?” she laughs at the thought. “I’m done here.” She turns to go “You need me [Y/N]” he tells her, making her stop in her tracks. “No, you need me” and with that, she left the pipeline.
