2025 Highlights

In no particular order except the first few.

P. Always and forever. I'm so lucky. <3

GOT MARRIED. Best day ever. Have you met my HUSBAND? :)

Rambi. I get why people drop this kind of money for this kind of convenience.

Getting HSD certified. Truly, the world looks different to me now.

Road tripping in Korea. It is such a beautiful country. The company was also excllent

Emceeing for FLYING Summit in Sept. I had so much fun and it opened many doors for me. It also gave me insight to the presence that I can have if I pay attention.

Caught The Script Live. They're really so good live. My ears have been blessed.

Work has been a highlight. I feel like I've grown so much this year! In a good way. The promotion helped too definitely but I think more than that, the year has been such a good year of honing my craft.

Taiwan with Mom. I'm thankful she's still able to travel and I can share these experiences with her. To more!

Growing my Ferragamo shoe collection by 50%. I'm just a girl and I love pretty shoes. :)

I'm curious... Why was everyone's 2024 difficult?

Been seeing so many "2024 was difficult but necessary, I learnt so much about myself, I'm so thankful for loved ones" posts it's so weird??

Guys, are you all okay? Am I the only one that actually had a pretty good 2024??

May 2025 be the best one yet!

2024 Highlights

Once again, in some order, but not really.

P. <3. Still my biggest yearly highlight. My days are much brighter and lighter for having him in it.

Korea with P. in Oct. Days of endless eating and doing pretty much nothing else. Life is good when you've got a warm hand in yours. :)

Status change. I'm excited but also quite nervous. There's so much to do in 2025!

Growing pains. I'm not sure if it really is a highlight because it is so much suffering (still). But growth is always a good thing. I think. May 2025 bring more gains from my growing pains.

Cooking. I've been able to cook more this year and it has given me so much joy feeding the people I love. I tried quite a few new things this year and it's been so much fun! To even more feeding of people I love in 2025!

Snowboarding classes! It is a joy to learn new things, especially if it is learning purely for fun. I can't say I'm great at it, but it has been so much fun getting better and having my body build muscle memory. 10/10 will recommend.

Seeing Onew live for the first time. Truly, my ears have been blessed. And Lee Jinki is doing the Lord's work purely just by existing. And singing with that beautiful voice of his.

Seeing Shinee live for the first time. I was majorly bummed when I found out Onew wasn't joining the other 3 for their March Singapore concert but 75% of Shinee is still frickin amazing and I relish in being able to throw adult money at such a big part of my youth. Thank you for growing up with me.

Avacado Sago at Yat Ka Yan. YKY is possibly my favourite asian dessert place and their avacado sago is life changing. 100/10 will recommend

Banh Mi at Miss Saigon. Seriously, BEST BANH MI EVER. Tbh, everything I've tried from Ms Saigon has been amazing but I think their banh mi deserves a major shout out. Very, very good.

May 2025 bring even better things our way! :)

2023 Highlights

In some order but not really.

P ❤️; my biggest highlight of 2023, the answer to a prayer I fervently whispered one late Saturday night.

Solo Korea Trip in Apr; possibly the best 2 weeks of my life. Climbing mountains, eating whatever the heck I wanted, drinking a crap tonne of coffee, and just wandering aimlessly about in my favourite country outside of home.

Korea with R&S in Oct; laughed so hard I think I permanently hurt my lungs. Little things with my favourite people.

Collective Leadership; my baby, my cult. Driving me insane but also keeping me sane.

All my tattoos; a manifestation of my desire to do things just for me. Also, they're all really pretty. Perhaps I'll do more in 2024. :)

Discovered Cotta; only the best ice cream in the world. Cotta's pistachio ice cream is the best and anyone who disagrees with me is wrong.

Sub 1 hour 10KM runs; 2 years ago, if you told me I'll be able to do this, I'd say you be cray cray.

Pachinko; my favourite read of 2023. So beautiful. Everything since Pachinko has been slightly bland.

Colour analysis; I'M A SOFT AUTUMN MY FRIENDS. Has made aesthetic decisions so much easier and better. Truly, distinctions bring about awareness, and awareness gives you choice.

Discovered Seventeen; Kpop on crack but also Kpop at its finest. Seventeen is all the things I love about Kpop condensed into 13 mentally unsound men.

2022 Highlights

In no particular order

Cut my super long ass hair off. Then snipped off even more. I think this chin length is going to be my thing for this chapter.

Major success with the weight loss. And actually keeping it off

Department change, OD has been a joy :)

Ferragamo shoes, finally after 17 years of lusting and debating, I dropped the money. On 2 pairs, no less. :D

Discovery of Stray Kids, giving me joy in places I didn't know I needed joy

Onew solo albums, I really like his Jap Kira Kira release. Dice was lovely too

Norway, oh Norway. You were beautiful :)

NGEMR Go Live, driving me insane but also kept me sane

Korean classes, seeing myself improve has been such a joy :)

2022

So. 31 Dec 2022 is here. 2022 is really ending.

You know, I've never really been one to be all, oh, new year new me. Set all my resolutions for the new year, all the good intentions, all the hopes and aspirations. Not because I think it's lame or anything but rather, no better time for change then The Now. You don't have to wait for a new year to do the things you want to do. While a New Year signifies new beginnings, you can begin again anytime you like.

But that said, 2022 was quite a year for me and I'm weary of the shit it kept throwing at me so I'm really glad for a symbolic new beginning. If I look back at 2022, the first half was beautiful. The second half was as shitty as the first half was beautiful. I was really happy in the first half, it felt like things made sense, I was sure of my future, I knew where I was going, I just needed to walk it through.

Then the second half came and it just kept coming. I am not really sure how I got through those 6 months to be honest. They say there are 5 stages of grief and I used to think it was a linear process. I will emphatically tell you now that IT IS NOT LINEAR. My mental health took a bit of a bashing this year. But hey, you gotta have rain if you want rainbows eh?

And now, here I am, nodding impatiently at 2022, wishing for it to just go go go.

I'm grateful though, for the Love I've received in 2022. I have much to be thankful for. I really do.

I hope many things for 2023. I hope for courage, for resilience, for clarity. I pray that doors will open and I will find what I'm searching for. I hope for 2023 to be a year of Me, that I find me again.

And wherever you are, I hope you find me too. Take your time, I'm in no rush. I gotta find me first, yeah?
