I don't know what's funnier, Sophie saying she knows the politician lied to her because he was looking into her eyes and not at her boobs, or Eliot and Hardison both saying after a few seconds silence that yeah, that actually checks out, can't argue with that
Episode 2, Season 1-Parallax
This is the first episode in which we get to see Chakotay and Janeway working together as First Officer and Captain, and it very much sets them up for success. The main conflict is whether or not B'Elanna is suited to be Chief Engineer. Janeway is surprised when he suggests her, and then when they're on the bridge and need help from Engineering, Chakotay calls B'Elanna first. Janeway is clearly scandalized, and calls to her Starfleet engineer instead, putting him in charge. She and Chakotay go into her ready room and they have an argument about whether the Maquis can or should have any command positions. It gets fairly heated, and towards the end, he says, a little more gently and with a slight sadness that he's trying to help her, and is sorry that she can't see that. I think that though he cares about his people and wants to take care of them, helping Janeway integrate them and run a successful ship is one of his top priorities. Despite the fact that Janeway is skeptical of B'Elanna, I think she realizes that Chakotay has her best interests at heart.
Unfortunately, when she tries to talk to B'Elanna later and get to know her, B'Elanna's temper flares, and it goes poorly. Still, Janeway agrees to allow B'Elanna to be in the meeting later in the episode in which they're discussing how to escape the black hole. This time, Janeway gets to witness B'Elanna's brilliance, and she doesn't ignore it. Right as everyone is leaving the ready room, Chakotay glances back at Janeway to gauge her feelings. She smiles.
Which makes him give her his soft smile, one that just grows softer over time
After Janeway makes B'Elanna Chief Engineer, she watches her from the deck above as B'Elanna makes her amends with Carey, the Starfleet Engineer who would have been Chief Engineer if it wasn't for her. Chakotay joins Janeway, asking, a little guardedly, if Janeway is checking up on B'Elanna. Janeway simply says that she's observing, and that B'Elanna will definitely have to face some opposition:
She then adds:
Their connection thus deepened, Chakotay asks if she would have served under him if they were on the Maquis ship. She grins and says that as Captain, she gets to keep some things to herself. And they share the first of what will be many looks of fond amusement:
As always, additions or disagreements are welcome!

It’s Monday!! So it’s time to unpack the latest episode of Yellowstone (ep. 3x05 “Cowboys and Dreamers, even though Niki mistakenly calls it 3x04 a couple of times!).
This one does not let up, and neither do we, as we give a recap, ship some characters, play some games, and even hash out some of our own new theories.
Come get Dutton Dirty with us and let us know what you thought of the latest episode and that killer reveal!

Y'all ever think of that scene in the Tadfield Manor, where Crowley pushes Aziraphale up against the wall as he says he is nice? How Crowley INSISTS he is not nice, and strangely states that nice is a four-letter word? You know what other word is four-lettered?
Love.
And this keeps me awake at night. Like saying "I'm not nice", yeah okay understandable, he has a reputation he thinks he needs to maintain, but of what consequence is the statement that nice is a four-letter word? It seems to me that for Crowley, Aziraphale stating he is nice, is somehow an indication that he is also in love. I mean we all know why he made it so that those office employees were having miraculous escapes. Cause Aziraphale would otherwise be disappointed in him and he didn't want that. But to see it called out, was to see his own emotions bared and that's something which made him vulnerable.
I might be reading into it too much but that statement "I'm not nice. Nice is a four-letter word" just stuck with me. Cause I've often heard the statement "Love is a four letter word". For Crowley, being called nice by Aziraphale meant that somehow his love for him might get recognised as well.
And well, he couldn't let that happen, could he?
All that time at the island plotting my return, I didn’t realize how hard it would be to reconnect with Mom, Thea, Laurel. Ok, I didn’t…I didn’t know how painful would it be to keep my secrets. You asked me to save this city. To right your wrongs. I will. I swear. I can’t be the Oliver that everyone wants me to be which means that sometimes to honor your wishes I need to dishonor your memory. I am sorry…

(unfortunately Patricia's thumb is in the way and I couldn't get everything, but we get some juicy bits!)
In 1681, Richard Warren was a merchant Pilgrim, a Puritan seeking a new community. There was a wicked storm at sea and the ship sank, leaving Richard to swim to the nearest shore, which became Widow’s Bay Island. He was determined to make this undiscovered land his own and he formed a settlement where Widow’s Bay Township now stands proud and lasting.
With first wife who died under mysterious circumstances (some say by Richard Warren’s hand), Warren had seven seven children. In 1701, he married a 25 years old woman who traveled from Boston for the engagement, named Sarah. When a madness plague affected the island in 1702, Sarah attempted to leave the (island) with the children, but they…… and died.
